They were fine. The price was average. I would most likely use them again in the future, depending on if they’re competitively priced or close to being competitive. It was a good experience for the reasons that you asked. They had two workers come. The interaction with them was fine.

What a fantastic company to deal with! Craig Heraty and his team at Witt were a delight from start to finish. Consummate professionals. From bidding a complex residential system (and then rebidding it when the engineer realized he sent the wrong bid docs) to installation, they were always pleasant, helpful, and eager to get everything right. When the radiant heat didn't seem warm enough, they came back several times to reset the boiler temperature until it worked perfectly. This was a complicated system and the installation was not easy. (Try carrying a 300 pound commercial hot water tank down a recently renovated stairwell without making a mark). They did an amazing job. I would recommend Witt without reservations. And I don't say that often!

They are reliable, trustworthy and answer any questions while they do the work.

Without even turning the thermostat up so the boiler would go on, the technician said i would need to schedule a longer appt at $190 per hour in order for him to diagnose the problem. AA Service came in the next week for the same thing. The technician immediately turned up the thermostat and diagnosed that the boiler pump was bad.

Several calls reminding me about my appointment. Repairman arrived ahead of schedule. Very polite & accomplished good work.

John scullion came out multiple times to determine first if we could add to our furnace, then map out what the best course to take through the vintage basement. A seamless Installation followed. A few weeks later I asked John to walk me through adjusting the damper to create equilibrium throughout our house. John suggested he come out and show me in person. This level of customer care and professionalism in addition to outstanding craftsmanship is why I will continue to use RH Witt and will recommend them to anyone.

Everything went very well.  They showed up on time and were very professional.  They were courteous and very knowledgeable as well.

I called for an appointment on Sunday evening.  They called me back at 7:30am on Monday morning to schedule an appointment.  They quickly scheduled an appointment for Friday of the same week.  The service guy showed up promptly on time.  He worked efficiently and provided good maintenance of our boiler.  We recently moved in to our house and are new to having a boiler. The service guy was very helpful with answering our questions and providing further information regarding our old (40+ years) boiler. The only negative is that he put a new thermal-coupler on our boiler without telling us first. This resulted in an additional charge that we had not expected.  My husband was very frustrated that he had not been told that we needed a new thermal-coupler before the service guy presumed that we wanted to do that and put it in.

The salesman, John, was very complete in his explanation of our options, and he gave us estimates for several possibilities.  I requested estimates for different capacity units, and he was very prompt in getting them to us.  Before we made the final decision he came back to look over the basement for possible problems venting the high efficiency furnace, and we made a decision based on his input.  The install occurred about one week later and was finished in a day and a half.  The installers, Jim and Jason, were very professional, and they left the basement quite clean, considering the work theyhad to do.

R. H. Witt did the job on time and for the estimated cost, and the A/C unit has worked perfectly ever since.  While their prices seemed a bit high for the time and materials involved, they were absolutely straight and never tried to talk me into buying a new system I didn't need.  I trust them and I will use them again if I have A/C problems.

It's hard to find time in the day to write reviews, but in the case of R.H. Witt, I've appreciated their service and value and therefore felt compelled to write.
The first time I called them, I was having trouble with an air-conditioning compressor that had shut down during the summer. A couple of other companies that I worked with in the past (and which get good ratings on Angie's List) had come in previously, and recommended expensive repairs or full replacements . But the folks at R.H. Witt felt that the issue was just a power surge or something transient, and recommended simply keeping an eye on it. Lo and behold, I never had any problems with it since. It is so easy – and of course in their self-interest - for contractors to tell you to do something costly, so I really appreciated the honesty from Witt. 
The recent work I had done was the replacement of an inducer assembly on my furnace. They came within a day of my call, diagnosed the problem, and took care of it the next day when the part arrived.
I have had nothing but positive and courteous experiences from their office staff, and David – the technician who handles the issues at my house – is capable, efficient, and friendly.
In summary, I have had great experiences with R.H. Witt.

Company called to confirm appointment timing and was very prompt, curteous and professional. Technician was professional and honest. Cleaned and inspected our central whole-house furnace. Looked at the filter, and even recommended we use cheaper ones going forward to ease airflow.
