"Excellent all around. From the initial planning phases, until the final day of work, we were extremely satisfied with all aspects of Fortune’s work. Tom was a great communicator, always available, and would check in to make sure things were going well. The entire work crew, including Danny who oversaw the day-in-day-out aspects of the project, were friendly, approachable, and extremely professional. Even our neighbors commented about how gracious the crew was. Our project was fairly large, including window/door replacement, major stucco repair, but Fortune was skilled and knowledgeable to take care of everything, without the need for subcontractors. We’re very satisfied with the end result and cannot give any higher recommendation for Fortune Restoration."

"4 County Construction is the BEST company I’ve worked with in a long time. Phenomenal customer service from beginning to end. They handled a full roof replacement, new gutters, and cedar siding. Maria and Roberto make it a point to ensure the customer understands every aspect of the process, that all questions were answered and that you are comfortable before moving forward. They are prompt in their responses whether phone call, text or email and never hesitate to go above and beyond to make sure the customer has what they need. The gentleman who worked on our home we’re experts in their field, and true craftsman. Everyone who worked on our home had a true passion for what they did and strived for quality. Stucco questions, answered by experts

Costs range from $500 to $2,000, depending on the damage size and texture matching.

Stucco will dry in two to three days, but you should wait one to two months to allow it to cure fully before you paint it. The curing process is slow, but leaving the material exposed to air and natural moisture will help it reach its maximum strength. If you live in a hot, arid climate, wait a month before painting. Wait two months before painting if you live in a more moderate or wet climate.

The curing time for stucco typically takes several weeks to fully complete. During the curing process, the stucco undergoes a chemical reaction and gradually hardens. It's important to note that curing is different from drying. While the surface of the stucco may dry relatively quickly within a few hours or days, the curing process continues beneath the surface, strengthening and solidifying the stucco.

It's best to avoid excessive moisture exposure during the curing period, as it can impede the curing process. The exact curing time can vary based on factors such as temperature, humidity, and the specific stucco mixture used.

One of the most significant downsides to stucco is the installation cost, which is higher than that of many other siding options because getting it to look clean and professional is a labor-intensive process. Stucco can also absorb water, making it an unsuitable option for siding in areas that see excessive rainfall. Finally, stucco can crack and chip, especially in extreme weather, and repairs are not only challenging and require help from a professional who does stucco, but can get expensive.

Several clues suggest that your stucco is damaged or has underlying issues. Visual clues include discoloration, cracks, indentations, broken caulking, or visible mold. If you touch your stucco and feel any soft spots, that could also indicate a problem. If you notice any of these concerns, call in an inspector who can confirm your suspicions and help provide solutions.
