Greg responded quickly, and provided estimate in short order. He was patient in explaining what would be done. A few days later, an opening came up in their schedule, and we had the system within 10 days of the initial contact. Took about 1-1/2 days, and went very well. Pleased with service and quality.

We had Greg out to take a look and give us an estimate. When he did so we let him know that we had some water pressure issues in our house and were concerned that the system would make them worse. He looked at our pipes and tested the pressure and said it should not be a problem. He suggested we have the city water dept check. I called them and they said pressure problems in the house were our problem and suggested we call a plumber. We called one, who came out and said that our main water pipe was too small and he could replace it for $20,000!!!!! Called Greg back to say that we were not going to do the system since we were still concerned. He made us this offer: he would come out and install all the interior piping and then set up a couple of test zones to prove that the pressure was good. He was 100% confident. If we were not happy, he would not charge us a dime. Too good to pass up, we said ok. He came out and spent 4 hours installing the interior pipes. He then set up a couple of test pipes and turned them on and they worked great. We tried the water inside the house and it too was still good. So we gave him the go ahead. His team showed up and spent about 16 hours over two days installing 7 zones and about 35 heads. He showed us how to program the box so that the zones went on at different times and days. There is also a rain gauge which overrides the system when the ground is wet. Of course, it rained hard that night! But the system is operating beautifully and we are very pleased.

Greg was extremely professional and responsive in providing a quote, which was significantly less than other companies. The quote also included other areas that we did not previously request and advertised a no maintenance system with wifi controller. This was a huge surprise for us as many competitors quoted us for double the price and less area / features. Greg's team was punctual and easy to schedule. They came out within a couple of weeks from the quote. The team did a nice job and walked us through the system as a whole. They even rearranged our landscape lighting to be more aesthetically pleasing even though we didn't ask for it. The system has been working great and has been a huge timesaver for us this season. We can't thank Greg and his team enough!

It could not have gone better! We have extensive gardens on our quarter acre lot; it was a complicated installation that required quite a bit of hand digging. Greg and his crew did amazing work - even along the fence with numerous close plantings, they were very careful. Greg programmed the system and showed us how to use it. No extra charge for a rain sensor either. The system is fully guaranteed for 5 solid years. Newman is a small local firm that has been in business for decades. It's easy to see why they have done so well - they are small enough to really take pride in their work. Other companies told me I'd have to move a lot of plants, charged more, and wanted to charge for turning off the system in the fall and turning it on in the spring to the tune of $150 - $200 per year. Greg set things up so we could do it ourselves which is a huge savings over time. We have had the system for several weeks now and could not be more thrilled.

This plan worked fine until winter hit and the water froze inside the pvc pipe, causing the water from the sump pump to again accumulate around the foundation. I called Greg and he and one of his guys spent several hours poking around under the soil and finally was able to redirect the flow directly into a drain pipe. No more problems. Greg and his guys are all about satisfying their customers. Very happy with the service and would definitely hire them again.

My sump pump was emptying into the bushes in front of the house, but over time, it stopped dissipating and water accumulated near the foundation. My husband called Greg Newman, who came out and looked at it, and had a plan to direct the water through a PCV pipe that would empty near the curb. He sent his guys out to take care of it. However, my husband was concerned that our neighbors would not like the water simply flowing out of a flower bed and perhaps overflowing over the curb into the street, so I asked his guys to direct the outlet of the pvc pipe instead into the middle of the flower bed.

The work was completed as promised in the time frame forecast. Greg also returned to repair a small leak at the booster pump connection. This was done in a timely manner and was done in a professional manner.

Greg Newman installed a booster pump on my home irrigation system. After installation, the water pressure was again sufficient to deploy the sprinkler heads and water the lawn. Greg installed the pump between the RPZ valve and the sprinkler controls. The pump was connected to the sprinkler control panel so that it only activated when the sprinklers were deployed. Part of the installation was to install a shelf to the basement wall to mount the pump and the pipes from the RPZ valve were reconfigured.

It went very well. Greg came and set up a small system for our front yard while our back was being excavated! He worked with our landscaper and paving companies to be sure things were done in the right order and he was able to work with other strong willed suppliers!

Communication pre-install (including estimates and scheduling) were great! Newman calls and texts back right away. He shows up when he says he will. Installation was amazing. The crew's hose running machine broke down and they had to get parts. That set them back several hours. Nonetheless, they finished my job by 8:30 pm. Auggie, one of the lead guys, stayed on to explain how to operate the system. There was a tiny issue with one of the station's coming on twice and I needed an adjustment to the spray tolerances of one station as well. Newman sent someone out right away (about 2 days later) and fixed the problem. These guys were great. I am absolutely satisfied. I would recommend them without reservation.

Complete lawn irrigation for a 50x175 deep lot with numerous beds throughout the front, back and one side. Newman installed a state of the art Rainbird brand system with about 30 some odd heads, a rain sensor, control panel, and plumbing access in the basement.

Greg did a phenomenal job throughout the project. I had received a quote from a competitor for a system that required maintenance twice a year (spring turn-on and fall blow-out). Greg installs self draining systems that do not require this type of maintenance (seems to me that the other systems just create an ongoing revenue stream for the installer). Greg is very focused on giving you a system that is very easy to maintain and that will last for MANY years. Greg is extremely focused on detail and getting the job done well instead of quickly. This includes how he routed the sprinkler lines (choosing the best option for longevity vs. easiest to install), where he placed heads, using pieces of our existing lighting system, fixing electrical issues that would otherwise impact the system, etc. I was not an easy customer, asking for several changes as we went along and throwing in some additional requests at the last minute as we saw how the system came together. Greg handled it all very well. There were a couple of minor issues (i.e. more coverage needed in a couple of areas) and he was happy to have someone adjust the system at no additional charge as we perfected the installation. I highly recommend Greg for anyone seeking a system.

Greg Newman was very patient as it took us approx 6mo to commit across last fall and winter. During that time he advised and helped us understand the options... Once we committed, we had a moderate delay as I needed to have a paver path put in prior to doing the sprinkler (via our landscaper). Being very flexible as we awaited permits for the pathway, Newman came in and did the internal plumbing to move things along. We were very happy to learn that he made us a priority even though we had to sort of drag the project along due to the pathway delay. Immediately upon getting that completed, he came back out with his crew and did the sprinklers & lighting over 2 days. They were meticulous in checking everything to make sure the water distribution was perfect and the lights were where they needed to be. They even walked it with me to get my perspective and tweak a few things to my liking. The yard damage was very minimal as they were careful in how they dug and replaced the existing grass. Within a few weeks, things look almost 100% normal and the system(s) work great! We had one small issue with the LED lighting interfering with the garage door opener, but Greg went well above and beyond to work with a door company expert he knew to resolve it within a few days by adding a component to our existing setup. He could have told us it's not his area since his equipment was working fine, but he didn't and we are very appreciative that he saw the project through and resolved our opener issue with no additional cost to us. We are very pleased with the results of using Newman Irrigation and would absolutely recommend them to anyone else looking to add sprinklers and/or outdoor lighting. Response time, fair pricing, and great customer service are obviously important to this company.

Top flight contractor. Greg Newman is expert, professional, polite, and strives for and achieves excellence in his work. His bid provided for 100% coverage so there was no question about the final result. His workers cleaned up as they worked. When they saw that more sprinkler head were needed than originally planned, they were installed without question and without extra charge. The materials and work were top flight. When Greg Newman saw some sloppy work by another contractor, he corrected it in the course of his work, also without charge. What an incredible and honorable gentleman.

This was a great all around experience. We selected Greg and Newman Irrigation because of his obvious knowledge of the product, customer-centric approach to the business and differentiated solution. Now that everything is complete, I am confident we made a great choice. In addition to the obvious (installing a quality product in an efficient and non-invasive manner for a reasonable price), Greg and his team were committed to making sure the end result was exactly what we were looking for. This included a few tweaks that we didn't realize we'd want until seeing how everything looked. Greg was extremely understanding and focused on providing us with an end result we'd be absolutely thrilled with. Additionally, Greg did something that very few folks have ever done for us - he used his expertise and experience to proactively provide us with solutions we didn't know to ask for. He placed our lighting transformer box somewhere I didn't even know we could (and was much better than where I originally suggested), improved some pipes that were adjacent to the ones he was working on (that I assumed would have been out of scope) and hid the sprinkler controller wires in our wall to protect the look of the room it was going into. All in, this was a great experience and I highly recommend you consider Greg and Newman Irrigation for your sprinkler and/or outdoor lighting needs!

We're on a corner and they installed sprinklers all around the house, on the parkway and in the backyard. It went very well. Greg, the owner, was very responsive. He explained all of the options clearly and didn't talk down to me because I don't speak "plumbing and irrigation" (which I appreciated). The crew was professional and did a great job. Everything was clean and ship shape before they left. I would absolutely recommend them and based on this experience, because they do regular "plumbing work, we'll call them if that kind of service is needed.

From start to finish this 2-day project went extremely well. The crew was excellent and on task at all times. We made several additions to the original agreement for which we were not charged extra. Greg, the owner, could not have been more accommodating and he was on-site from start to finish. He noticed a plumbing issue in our basement and fixed it free of charge. The day after the project was completed and paid for we decided we wanted to change something. That next day Greg sent a crew member over to take care of it at no charge. There is not a thing Greg could have done to make this a better experience. I highly recommend Newman Irrigation.

Newman Irrigation provided complete irrigation piping and sprinklers for my half-acre lot including lawn and flower beds. They also installed drip lines to some potted tomatoes and flowers. To reach some spots they had to tunnel under may driveway as well as my paver-brick patio. They were able to start my project about one week after we agreed to terms whereas other companies couldn't start until about a month later.

My project was delayed a few months & over that time I had contacted him a few times with questions. We finally agreed that he'd do the service for me & had verbally agreed to some changes. Greg did not want to put it in writing (one was the price) and wanted to handle everything verbally. I asked twice that he initial the changes that I made to his proposal (1 price, 2 minor things) and he couldn't get it right. Talked to him on the phone & he couldn't understand a homeowner wanting changes to a proposal in writing. Will not hire him since he won't put it in writing.

Greg and his team did a fantastic job installing our system. Since we moved into our house 18 months ago we have had a LOT (20+) of different contractors in for various jobs, and Greg has been far and away the best. He was extremely punctual in providing us an estimate and scheduling the work. His price was very competitive, and yet his recommended solution for our project was much more labor intensive than the other quotes we received (taking the mainline out through the foundation below the frost line), but will produce a better result. His entire crew is professional, and knows what they are doing. However, what really sets Greg apart is his level of service. Here are a couple of examples of how Greg and team went above and beyond: -We just finished up a significant renovation on our house, and I had spent the two days before Greg's team arrived filling up two large trashcans with rocks/nails from the yard. Greg noticed the cans, and proactively volunteered to take them back to his office to dump them for us! -While working on the install, Greg noticed that one of the frost proof hose bibs on our new addition had a vacuum breaker on it, which caused the bib to freeze over the winter. In case we have problems getting our GC to fix the bib, Greg volunteered to add another hose bib off of the sprinkler mainline -While Greg and team were working on the install, I had 105 bags of soil delivered which I was carrying up to our new rooftop garden a bag at a time. When Greg figured out what I was doing, he stopped me and told me his guys could carry the soil up to the roof for me. I turned him down, as I didn't feel right taking him up on the offer (my back regrets it), but I was blown away that he would even consider helping haul 1.5 Cu Ft bags of soil up 2 flights of stairs If you are looking to get an irrigation system installed, I highly recommend Greg. He knows what he is doing, and he takes the time to make sure the job is done right.

We initially met with Greg several months ago, prior to our house being completed. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and punctual in our initial meeting. We obtained bids from 4 companies and his was the 2nd lowest. However, we appreciated the suggestions he made, and we decided to go with him. We are very happy with our decision. Construction on our street caused us to have to delay the project several times, and Greg was always understanding about the delays, and made it easy to reschedule. On the day of work he arrived at the time we agreed on. We decided to have him do the outdoor landscape lighting as well, and he was able to make the adjustments the day of. His plumber who was working in our basement always wore shoe covers in the house, and everyone was very pleasant and professional. His crew cleaned up all the work, and even washed off the driveway. They also spent time making sure we understood the system and how to use it. We would use Greg again anytime and recommended him to our neighbors as well. We are so happy with the exterior lights, we are going to have him come back and install more.

Evyerthing went perfect. His pricing was great. He does not charge for spring and fall start ups. His sytems are self draining so you do not have to worry about that cost every spring and fall to have that done. This saves me nearly $400 per year. He set up our timers, he explained everything so well. He gave us his cell phone number so we could call with any questions. It was literally the owner who was out here overseeing the job and talking to us.
