Although I wasn't present during the installation, the carpet looks and feels professionally done. Tom expressed concern over this and explained the cause of the problem and what needed to be done. Best experience to date with a contractor. Tom and his crew were awesome! Quick to respond, very knowledgable and great guys. Tom provided me with good information on making my tile selection. Offered top quaility products and showed me ways to save money. He even coordinated with the plumber so I didn't have to also deal with that. They estimated the job would take 1-2 weeks and it was done in a week and half. They always cleaned up before they left for the day. I will definitely use them again if the need should arise."

Spring and fall are the best seasons for installing carpet. Both seasons benefit from moderate temperatures and low humidity levels, which can help the carpet acclimate to the room and settle properly once installed. However, installing carpet during the winter months could result in lower costs, as demand for this service is low.

It’s a good idea to install a rug pad under the carpet for your stairs. To make the pad fit, you’ll need to cut one section for each stair tread that’s about one inch narrower than the stair runner so that it won’t be visible once the carpet is installed on top.

You may get better coverage painting your baseboards if you do so before carpet is installed. The best course of action may be to attempt to paint them between having the old floor removed and the new floor laid, though this will render the room unusable for a period of time and may make the entire project a bit slower overall.

In most cases, you don’t need to put anything under carpet tiles—unlike regular carpet, which often has a layer of carpet padding beneath it. Carpet tiles attach directly to the floor (as long as it’s a firm surface like plywood, concrete, or tile) with peel-and-stick adhesive, double-sided carpet tape, or carpet glue.
