"I have been in construction for nearly 50 years, so I have developed a keen eye for quality craftsmanship. Our project was no small project, so there was a genuine concern that the right company be hired to do our project. After reading J T General Contracting's reviews, I reached out to Jim for an estimate. Again, as I stated earlier, I have been involved in construction for nearly 50 years, so when a contractor shows up for an estimate when he stated that he would, that is a good first step. In talking with Jim about our project, it didn't take long for me to realize that he knows what he is talking about and how our project should be approach. After interviewing two other contractors, it was a no brainer to go with J T General Contractors. Our project just completed today, and I can state that from the demolition of our existing deck, to the layout and installation of piers, Posts, Joists, Trex Composite Deck (with stairs and raised platform for the Spa) and composite Railings, I could not find one flaw in his workmanship. Jim takes a great deal of pride in the work that he is installing and demands that from his employees as well. Secondly, Jim has excellent communication skills, not only in responding to phone calls or text messages, but explaining what he will be doing each step of the way. I would have no problem referring J T General Contracting to family and friends and will be using Jim for our future projects."

"The project was estimated to take 8 to 10 weeks and was done in 9. We were very pleased with the quality of the work. From patching and repairing wood floors to installing new kitchen cabinets. Jack, the owner, was very easy to deal with and I would highly recommend them for a project. The project was large and the extras were less than 5% which I felt was well within reason. As the name implies everyone who worked in the house was an employee of his company. No subcontractors."

He has excellent taste and was extremely helpful in offering his opinion when we decided to make some changes. We were very happy with the look and finish of our garage- we re-used brick from the demolition and he was able to make the exterior match our existing house perfectly. "Jeremy has given me the kitchen of my dreams. I hired Grandview to remodel my kitchen and master bathroom and couldnâ t be happier with the outcome. "This is the third time we've hired DAL Builders. They previously rebuilt our front porch and gut rehabbed our kitchen. We highly recommend them for the quality of their construction work, project management and working relationship with clients. We have come to trust DAL with our old 1910 house, which presents unique, often confounding (at least to us), challenges. DAL does quality work while advising us about what needs replacing/rebuilding and what doesn't. For example, our basement had decent framing, so we kept it, which was a huge savings. We have a good working relationship with Tim Larkin, our project manager at DAL. If there's a problem during a project, we trust that we can work through it. Still, it always helps to be flexible and take responsibility for communication. We experienced some pandemic-related delays. Start dates can be a little unclear (they depend on the progress of other DAL projects), but once started, Tim moves the work along. Regarding cost, we could pay less for work of lower quality, which we would regret, and I'm sure we could pay a lot more for work of similar quality. Tim is sensitive to cost issues and advises on how to keep costs down. Overall, the value is excellent, and we've been happy with the results. DAL's carpentry work has been outstanding -- our front porch and back stairs are beautiful, and our neighbor still raves about the plumb lines in our kitchen. Our newly rehabbed basement is fantastic; with Tim’s encouragement, we exposed three windows that had been covered up, including two under a porch/bay window. They let in a lot of light and are very attractive! Project management is strong overall. We appreciate the detailed estimates DAL provides. DAL will deliver on those details so be sure the estimates specify what you want. We've gotten to know DAL's subcontractors -- plumber, electrician, drywallers & painters, roofers, etc. They are all very good at what they do. Fostering good communication with this only helps. We really like working with Tim Larkin. He gives us good ideas, is responsive to problems, and is flexible around the needs of the project, which can change. He’ll keep the project on track, manage the subcontractors, etc. I try to keep track of and communicate about details with Tim -- this helps when a project is extensive or has multiple parts, as this most recent one did. It takes a team to pull everything off!"

"Christopher Baugh was wonderful to work with and worthy of our trust, both practically and creatively. He was ALWAYS responsive to our inquiries, ideas, concerns, etc. Equally important, the crews who spent so much time in our home during the kitchen renovation were pleasant, kind, and generally arrived on time. They took any questions that we might arise to Christopher, receiving answers in a timely manner. During a reno that is important, since they are present for hours every day. Our expected timeline for the renovation was well met and we were always comfortable - as much as possible during a kitchen remodel! - feeling heard and respected. No question was too dumb or redundant and we really appreciated that. As a result we have a beautiful custom kitchen, with cabinets handcrafted by Christopher and I think everyone associated should be proud of their hard work. We can't wait to show it off!"
