Though the product is good, the process was beyond horrible. Upon an initial walkthrough for replacement windows on the first floor only of our modest home, our salesperson estimated that it would cost 75K for similar style windows with an upgrade to one window. We ended up with a no upgrade, a simpler window style, and the option of painting the window frames ourselves which, with a good promotion, brought the cost to almost half the initial estimate. We were assured by our salesperson that the installers would tape around the windows so that they would be ready to paint. However, after installation was complete, there was no tape and, worse, there were gaping holes between the frame and wall of most windows. It is hard to believe that this would have been an acceptable final product if I had not fussed. An installer returned, though he said it was a courtesy, and fixed most of the issues but not all. Follow-up emails were responded to only by our salesperson who asked others to respond but no one ever did. I would not use this company again.

On June 9, 2021, we purchased two patio doors, which were to be installed October 1. We were assured that all their doors were made in the U.S. The doors came in December without screen doors. Also they were supposed to be identical. They are not. After dozens of calls, we were told the screen doors would be installed the first week of March 2022. In fact, in mid February, Renewal by Andersen called to say the doors had arrived. The day before the installation, Renewal by Andersen notified us that they couldn't find the screen doors. No explanation. No apology. We called and called and weeks later were told that they expect our screen doors to be shipped from the factory next July! (The factory is in Minnesota, a six-hour drive from our home.) That means a summer without being able to use our deck or patio for fresh air. Renewal was not even able to confirm that there would be a delivery in July. More than a year after purchase!!! We understand that we are encountering a supply chain issue from products shipped from other countries. That is why we purchased from a company which guaranteed that their products were U.S. made. Their customer service, pretentiously named concierge, is less than adequate. In order to get through to a human being, I had to call the showroom-the sales force is there- and beg to be transferred to a manager. Now we have very expensive patio doors and have to search for a company which can make screen doors to fit them. Do not be misled by Renewal by Andersen's claim to have the "Highest in Customer Satisfaction with both Window and Patio Door Retailers and Manufacturers, 2 years in a row." Look at the actual reviews. We wish we had.

Be careful as this company will promise you anything to get your business on the spot, namely in terms of timing, then they will take FOREVER to schedule everything else and actually install the windows. I am now on my 8th week of what was falsely promised to be a 6-week project, and the windows are still on drawing (!!!) stage and I have no idea when they will be installed. Then I found out that some services (such as trim finish) is an extra which was not disclosed to me at time of sale. Customer service is so poor that I have to actually chase them (to no avail) vs the other way around. This is a $30K+ project!!

The project went smoothly from start to finish. We ordered the windows & they were ready to be installed within 4 weeks. Our installers, lead by Luke with Fox Crew were very good. They arrived by 8:00 A.M. & were very neat & hard working. They covered furniture throughout the house to avoid what could have been a messy job. They cleaned up the outside of the house when they were finished. You would not have known any work was done. Luke then walked my wife & myself through the house & showed us how each window worked and even showed us how to remove the screens. That Saturday, Archie came to stain the inside of the windows, since they are wood. He arrived early in the morning. He also was very neat & hard working. I give the installers an A+ rating. Overall, we were very satisfied with our new windows.

The windows were very expensive, so we had them done in 2 separate installations. The measurements were made very carefully to insure that the right windows would be brought for the installation. On the morning of the installation, the workers arrived ahead of time and waited before ringing the doorbell. They came in and immediately began covering our carpet, and making sure they would be able to work without disturbing or harming anything in our home. There were some many workers, and each had a specific job and they all worked in a very coordinated way. It was amazing to watch them work. They worked efficiently, carefully and were finished before we knew it. They cleaned everything up and restored our home back to order. It was a wonderful experience!

We had a very large window replaced by Renewal by Andersen. Replacing this window was an incredibly demanding job and quite tedious because of the unique dimensions. Don Macknight was a very professional installer. He is an amazing carpenter whose attention to detail is meticulous. His craftsmanship in making a 90 year old window frame look brand new was amazing! We are extremely happy with his work.

A third of my windows arrived damaged. The manager from Andersen said they'd put the replacement windows on the fast track. I didn't hear anything from Andersen. After we were well passed the promised date I left a message with customer service (yes left a message because why would a CS team be available to speak with customers) my windows were magically ready for installation; unless an amazing coincidence it would seem the replacements were ready and no one was managing my project. A year later after starting a recent remodel project, my general contractor pointed out that Andersen installed a window in my shower using a wood frame; of course now warped and window needs to be reinstalled as a result. Since Andersen customer service doesn't answer phone calls, I decided to try emails. They don't answer those either.

After filling out request online, I received a call within 30 minutes (A+), and scheduled an in-home consultation for a few days later. SALES member arrived promptly, was courteous (took off shoes), and we showed him the windows we needed to replace. We communicated multiple times that we did not need to be sold on the product, we were looking for recommendations for replacing windows - not wanting to spend money on top-of-the line (because we will not recoup the cost as we are not planning on staying in our home for more than a couple of years), but also not wanting to go the cheapest route either. We wanted to discuss the benefits of composite, how windowpane grids could be placed, and the quality of the glass and warranties. After measuring, and after my spouse had to leave for an appointment, the SALES person sat down with me and prepared an estimate. SHOCKING to see an estimate that did not break-down the cost per window, the upgrades per window, or provide a couple of different variations for cost (placement for grids, locking and other mechanisms, etc.). The estimate was for $11,000 + (3 double-hung and 2 sliders). I told the SALES person to breakdown the cost....after several minutes he showed me his iPad with a new quote (the $11,000+, less "discounts", bringing the cost down by about $750). I told him I needed to see the breakdown....then he went into full SALESman mode. Talking over me, telling me if I signed today he would give me 20% off...I was clear that I would not be signing anything until my spouse saw the quote as well...the SALESman did not let up -- saying what a great deal he was providing, how great the product and warranty were, bashing other window companies/installers...needless to say, we did not go with this company. Decided to go with a different company, providing Pella windows for a fraction of the Andersen quote. Sadly, this company replaced all of the windows in a family member's home in Hinsdale (they were very happy)...must be the local rep in my area who soured the deal.

The appointment went well. The salesperson was knowledgeable and didn't pressure at all, but the price was way over (4x) what I expected and was totally out of my budget.

We originally replaced all but 9 out of the 30+ windows in our home, but when we saw how beautiful and high quality they were, we decided to replace the rest. Our salesperson, Alon, was knowledgeable and followed through to make sure every step from measurement, installation and painting of the trim went as scheduled. This was not an inexpensive project, but we could not be happier.

Initial sales side was difficult getting accurate information on the install details and the process was eventually taken over by a sales manger who was very helpful. The contract side of the process was simply unacceptable. They have a lengthy agreement which can't be modified, so its basically TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. There was at least a dozen times in the conversation related to contract terms where the sales people agreed the terms were invalid/not applicable, etc., but it was basically a "trust me" response, because we are not allowed to modify the agreement. The installation overall went pretty well. Very knowledgeable lead installer and good crew. Quality work and happy with product and end result. A bit too much reliance on rolled coil materials and sealant, but overall achieved the desired outcome.

It went really well. The windows are really nice. We had a problem with a small hole in one of the screens and they replaced it for us with no hassle. Overall we are very happy with our windows. Our only complaint is that they are quite expensive, but you are paying for really good quality.

Excellent experience. Salesman, Greg Jones, was very professional. No pressure at all. Consumer Reports gave Anderson high marks for the product. Work crew was on time, experienced, professional. Covered carpet, furniture, etc. Our crew has been installing for Anderson for years. They did excellent work. Installation supervisor dropped by mid job to check on the work. They cleaned up everything nicely before they left. The woodwork trim painter, likewise, did excellent work. He's been contracted with Anderson for over five years. On time, professional, nice clean up.

Everything went great. The fellas who installed the windows were on time, worked well together, cleaned up and even patched some paint around the one window. We were given specific instructions on how to operated the windows before I signed off on the installation. We had double hung windows installed this last time, the previous replacements were casements, and the windows (following the staining and varnishing done on our own) were not coming down from the top...they were stuck! I contacted John Smalter, who is our sales consultant, and he said he could come by and see if he could help. John did come and was able to get them to release from the top. John not only fixed something that was certainly not in his job description, but he did it on this DAY OFF! I would certainly recommend John and the rest of the team from RBA.

The windows are not the cheap option, but the service is awesome. Both the Sales Associate and Measuring Technician we super knowledgeable about what they were doing and answered any questions that I had. The Installers, Mario and Luis, were punctual and got right to work. They were also very clean; everything was cleaned up following the installation which actually only took ~5 hours for 4 windows. They even took the time to explain how the windows worked, once their work was done. Overall, I would say the experience was fantastic and the warranty that Andersen provides is awesome.
