Great! Tom Bowman was our contact. He was very thorough in explaining all the options and details. He provided us with multiple budget options. We love the products selected. He recommended several subcontractors who were all excellent. We couldn’t be happier. We love our new rooms.

I can't say enough good things about Schreck Kitchens. I needed serious work done on my old kitchen and didn't know where to start. After talking to kitchen designers and checking out the big box stores, I wandered in to Schreck Kitchens one Saturday afternoon without an appointment. Craig Bowman was on his way out the door, but turned around and spent over an hour showing me kitchen cabinets and explaining the remodeling process. I had so many questions and concerns, but Craig was always patient and thorough with many helpful ideas and suggestions. I eventually ordered R.D. Henry cabinets and Corian quartz countertops from Schreck Kitchens. Craig suggested and introduced me to Charlie Schumacher, the perfect contractor for my remodeling job. I could not be more pleased with the finished product. They did a great job!

Cannot say enough good about our experience.  First, Craig Bowman gave us good suggestions regarding the design, for example opening up the space we have and moving the stove to a safer location.  Even with somewhat bigger changes than we had initially planned, the total cost was below what we anticipated after visiting another kitchen place and extensive on-line research.  The show room has a wide selection of cabinets and counters arranged in a way that helped us choose and we remain very pleased with all our choices.  They were accommodating with our schedule, which included a reunion trip that could not be changed, so that some work had to be left until after our return.  Maybe the best part was the installer, Art, who was not only knowledgeable, skilled, and attentive to detail, but also a joy to have around during what could have been a trying period.  As an example of his consideration, he left the old sink in place until the last moment so we had a sink for as long as possible while we set up a temporary kitchen in the adjacent  dining room.

From start to finish the whole process went smoothly. They have a beautiful showroom in South Elgin. From the first time we met Craig Bowman it was a fairly easy process. Craig was very patient and helpful listening to what we wanted, selecting the cabinets, the design process, ordering of the cabinets and choosing the Cabria countertops and the delivery of the cabinets straight to our home. Craig was also very informative on the different types of cabinets, countertops, etc.. Our cabinets were customized to our needs to include special cabinet sizes, soft door closings, pullout shelving, etc.. Craig made multiple trips to our home for the design process and he also checked on the installation progress and also came to check on the finished project to make sure everything was completed to our satisfaction. Craig also has a great installer.

Art was our cabinet installer and a perfectionist. He did a fabulous job installing the cabinets and all the crown molding and trim work. We also contracted separately with Art to install our kitchen and laundry room sinks, dishwasher, microwave oven, etc..

Don't remember the name of the place that came out to the house to measure and install the Cabria countertops. Again Craig took care of coordinating that process too. The Cambria countertops are beautiful and the installation went well.

We now have our dream kitchen!!

It was a pleasure working with Craig and Art and we would definitely recommend and use Schreck Kitchens again.

Our kitchen turned out awesome and Dale helped resolve some minor issues with a shortage of 1 piece of crown moloding. He was very responsive to our needs and any small issues that arose, which was important for us since this wasa do-it yourself renovation. Shreck saves you money!

He came out and visited and he was very good about going over everything.

I can't say enough about the professionalism and quality of product we experienced. Tom Bowman is knowledgeable about every aspect of kitchen product and design. He was always patient, never pushy, listened carefully and produced exactly what we wanted. He introduced us to his remodeler, whose work was perfect and whose attitude was respectful.
Tom visited often during the remodel. He gave us a schedule at the beginning, which was followed exactly. There were no surprises. We didn't pay anything until we decided to use their services. The price was exactly what he quoted before we began the project.

Professional service
