We specialize in masonry restoration, grinding, tuckpointing and brick replacement on residential and lowrise commercial properties. We rebuild chimneys, parapet walls and replace lintels,We install glassblock windows we do caulking and waterproofing all to the nighest industry standards.. Dan has 29 years experience in the industry and spent many years working in Boston and Chicago high rises. He is a journeyman mason and holds a city of Chicago masons licence. Northsouth does not sub the jobs to other companies. Our own crew does each job and have been with us for over 10 years. We provide free estimates but charge a flat $15.00 charge for second trips to the same location if the job is outside Chicago. We have been on Angies List since 2001 and have received many super service awards over the past 14 years.

"We were looking to have a new covered patio installed with a fire feature. We had quotes from several different companies but didn’t feel satisfied with either the price or the company ‘s vision. Then we came across Arrowhead. After reaching out to them, we received a phone call within a couple of hours and had an estimate completed by Jim within a few days. We had a general idea of what we wanted but Jim really blew us away by showing us several different options and photos of some their quality of work to help us visualize the plan. Within 1-2 business days, Jim had our estimate with a couple of different options and a 3D plan. Arrowhead was very reasonable in terms of price when comparing to other companies. After thinking things over, we found an idea of a unique outdoor linear fireplace from a website to go along with Jim’s plan for the patio and pavilion. We sent a photo of the fireplace over to Jim and within a day he had a price which was more reasonable than we expected. Jim also had some great ideas when it came to the design of the patio and pavilion. Work began as expected. Jim did an excellent job coordinating all of the different tradesmen to complete our project (patio installers, carpenters, electricians and plumber). All of the workers were very courteous and the project was completed faster than expected even though the weather wasn’t the greatest. We are so happy with our new patio! I was a bit nervous about the entire project at the start but after we met Jim I knew we were in good hands. "They were a great company to work with... friendly, courteous, and accommodating. I had a front porch leaning away from the house (from settling), and a walkway leaning toward the house. They patiently answered all my questions, and did a professional job. The new porch and walkway look great and I'm very happy with the results. They told me to apply water to the new cement for a week to prevent cracks. I had never heard of this before, so I'm glad they mentioned it. My only regret (which was my fault, not theirs) is that I didn't put tarps over my groundcover and part of the lawn to avoid having to pick out small pieces of cement. I don't think any contractor does this, so again my fault, but just something to consider for anyone having work done and is picky like me."
