"Thank you so much for the positive feedback, [Member Name Removed], we really appreciate it! Happy to hear that the spring clean-up was done well and that we were able to correct the water drainage issue that you were having."
Although the landscaping project looked goo when completed in November of 2015, when Spring arrived, it was discovered that they penetrated the weed barrier fabric in many areas and not I have to pull weed weekly. They promised to come back and fix the problem but never did,
Also from the weekly lawn maintenance, they dented my air conditioner compressor outside with the power mowers, tore up my lawn with these mowers after a day of rain and after I complained told me that they would not service me any more. Do not use them.
company. I hired Vega's landscaping to remove a concrete patio and
install a small brick patio. The price was great, so I hired them.
But I had to repeatedly call them to inquire when they were going to
start, and once started, when they were going to finish. Then the
problems began, within a couple of weeks of the completion (sinking
bricks, poor drainage, etc). Unfortunately, I had already paid since I
thought they were a reputable organization. They have still not
returned my many messages, requesting a discussion on how to repair the
patio.
Work was ok but I signed up for the spring clean-up and the weekly weeding package. The more expensive spring clean-up was complete but the contracted (I signed and sent back to them after a discussion about what I needed) weeding was never done. No returned phone call after 4 attempts and they are still servicing my neighbors. Do NOT use them if you are wanting any regular service...they will not honor their scheduling unless you have a big job.
I would NEVER use them again. I understand if they cannot complete a job or if pricing needs to be adjusted but to tell someone you're going to do something and then not do it and not even return their call is unprofessional and rude.
"I believe you were calling an employees personal cell phone. The office never once received a phone call from you this year regarding the cultivating service. We were a little behind on starting this service. We actually just started yesterday, June 6th. We will remove your name/address from our list."
I accepted, and the next week the spring cleanup was done. It was very thorough: Lawn cut and aerated, dirt under weeds turned up, dirt under shrubs turned up, all the old leaves remarkably thoroughly cleaned out even from the flower bed, the flower bed otherwise cleaned up of stray shrubs and weeds, and the edging done for the first time I've lived here.
They just finished the first week of regular lawn mowing. The guys are very quick. I also have a backyard gate that's too small for their big mowers, so they unseal the fence to get the machine through, then put it back together when they're done. The fence is old and falling apart anyway; the guys told me Vega's does fence replacement, too, and I might take them up on that offer this year.
I also requested that the work be done after noon because my wife and I work nights and sleep later. The spring cleanup came around 11 a.m.; the mowing work this week was done around 12:30 p.m. So far pretty good.
Then an invoice is left in my door and I know what I have to pay. (Yes, I had a hard time with this with my last service.)
So far I'm happy with Vega's, and we'll see how the year goes.
You want to use them only if you have the ability and the equipement to do it on your own as a backup.
This year Vega charged $35 if the snowfall was 2 to 4 inches, $75 if the fall was over 4 inches. That's reasonable, since falls that large meant Vega comes once while the snow is still falling and again when the snow is done (once, three times). In a normal year, the bill would have been much less, but $615 for the period isn't bad for an 80+-inch snow pack.
We intend to use them again next year.
