"Dakota at AFG Drywall Remodeling delivered truly exceptional service. He was persistent in following up, quick to respond to assess and estimate the project, and asked all the right questions upfront—eliminating hidden costs or surprises. His pricing was very competitive, and his communication was outstanding. Dakota always let me know his arrival time, making it easy to coordinate around family activities. He went above and beyond expectations for what was a small home repair, delivering quality that rivals and even exceeds large drywall and painting contractors This says a lot as I am a General Contractor Manager. He took great care to protect our furnishings and custom wood floors, showing respect and professionalism throughout. Dakota’s attention to detail, reliability, and customer-first approach make AFG Drywall Remodeling a standout choice. I would gladly use him again anytime and highly recommend his services to anyone seeking top-tier craftsmanship and peace of mind."

"Ryan did a great job, I thought his price was a little high but he came back to the house 3 times to apply coats, sand & texture & I needed the work done quickly because I was selling the home. He communicated well & showed up when he said he would. I would definitely recommend"

"Very professional and helpful. He did a drywall job for me, and it turned out great. He also pointed out a few things that could use repair. We talked for a bit and he will be doing a couple more jobs for me."

Small jobs welcome

"Dylan and his crew did an outstanding job! They worked two long days to completely fit my living room. They hung new board. Then plastered the ceiling and walls. My living room was brand new once more! Dylan and John were very polite. And even explained they whole process so I knew what was going on. They cleaned up so well it was cleaner when they left then when they got here. When they were done I had a beautiful textured ceiling and smooth walls. The walls were the smoothest I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend these guys!"

"

the leak was a drip at an elbow on the softener cold water feed. it had dripped a long time as it didn't show until the sheetrock was

saturated and mold started. I opened the ceiling and the wall and located how for it had run giving me a good look at the zigzag

placement of the water line when the softener was installed. The provider readily agreed to clean that up with the cost of a foot or two of pipe. I am completely happy

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Whether a drywall anchor can be reused depends on its material, type, and the method of removal. Plastic anchors, including expansion and self-drilling types, are generally designed for single use as they tend to break or deform upon removal. Metal anchors, such as toggle bolts, are more durable and may be reusable if they are not damaged during extraction. However, with toggle bolts, the toggle piece can fall into the wall cavity when the bolt is removed, making it difficult to retrieve. If an anchor is damaged during removal, for instance by having its head cut off, it cannot be reused regardless of the material.

The cost to install drywall is between $1.50 and $3 per square foot, while shiplap installation costs between $2 and $7 on average. In most applications, shiplap installations cost more than that of putting in drywall. However, several ways exist to reduce shiplap prices, especially for small locations or accent walls, which can keep the total cost of shiplap competitive with that of drywall.

Yes, professionals often repair minor wall openings made for insulation injection to restore the surface.

Drywall texture refers to the techniques used on the surface of drywall to create a pleasing visual or tactile effect. Depending on your desired outcome, drywall texture can range from incredibly subtle to a focal point of a room. Textures play a significant role in interior design and are an excellent and relatively cost-effective way to change the feeling of a room.

There are several things you should not do when installing drywall. Common mistakes include: adding too many screws, over-sanding, not adding backing support, and installing drywall unevenly. You also should avoid screwing into the same place twice, installing Sheetrock with tapered edges on the outside, and making too many joints.
