Our story is one that many can relate to. It started from nothing, and involved vision, hard work and determination to get to where we are today. Company founders Jon Hastings and Russ Van Wagenen met in college while attending Brigham Young University. When they graduated with Construction Management degrees in 2009, the housing market was in a free-fall, and many builders were struggling just to stay in business. Despite this, Jon and Russ knew they had a bold new approach to the home building process and stepped up to the challenge of a new business. Jon and Russ started Tresidio Homes in 2009 based on their passion for home design and construction, and because they had a deep desire to create a better home building experience. They’d seen too many customers frustrated with the lack of professionalism and organization in the industry, and they knew they could create a much more enjoyable building process – one that is organized, yet flexible, and without the communication headaches that home building is known for. They founded Tresidio Homes with the intention of building personalized homes of exceptional quality, delivering on promises and creating a customer experience that was actually easy and fun. Along the journey of growing into who we are today, we focused on listening to our customers. We never wanted to lose sight of what they wanted from a home building experience. Today, we are an established full-service custom home builder that builds approximately 50 homes a year – which is large enough to give our home buyers peace of mind but small enough to always be able to keep a personal touch. Additional Contact names - Jon Hastings, Russ Van Wagenen, Dallin Fogle. Additional Emails - [email protected], [email protected], [email protected].

"Just moved into Brody Square this past week. I love the quality of the house and all the amenities. I have to send a huge shout out to my project manager, Christian Sanford, who has gone over and above to make sure I understood all the details on the home and the community. More importantly, he has made himself available to help with all matters big and small. He's been wonderful and very responsive to all questions I have."

I have a small remodeling Co. I started my business in Jan.1989. At this point it consists of me and my son. Although at one time have had up to 7 employees, we basically grow and downsize as needed based on the volume of jobs. I do, however make sure myself or my son have a "hands on" relationship to every project and customer. We have taken on new construction builds, of course reomdel and additions, and have done all phases of construction. On larger projects we use sub-contactors on electrical, plumbing, and other fields that may require special licesensing. Most if not all, we have long lasting relationship with. Our billing is generally based on project size and is determined project to project. We offer senior discounts. We also cn take most credit cards.

Most contractors aim for about a 20% profit on a job, leaving themselves room for unexpected expenses or delays. After accounting for materials, labor, and insurance, the profit margin for most contractors is between 10% and 20%. Fluctuating costs of materials and labor affect the ultimate percentage.

Due to the expansion of the tiny house movement, you can usually find tiny houses to buy in your state. Prices range considerably based on size, style, and type. If you’re looking for a tiny home that’s move-in ready, you may be able to find a good deal to buy or a prefab dealer near you.

Green homes are often more expensive to build, averaging around $200 per square foot compared to the $150 per square foot you’d spend to build a standard home. However, green homes can save you money on your utility bills by consuming less energy or creating energy using solar panels or wind turbines on-site. They’re more expensive to build, but they often end up costing less in the long run.

Painting countertops can take a few days to complete yourself. However, keep in mind that it can take up to 14 days for the sealer to cure. So, you want to make sure you wait the manufacturer's recommended amount of time before using your countertops after painting them.

A construction lien results from unpaid services. For instance, if a homeowner hires a contractor to do a large renovation on their home and then fails to pay for the services and materials, the contractor can take out a lien on the property. This lien is a legal claim against the property for the amount of money owed. If the homeowner does not pay their debt, the lien may stay on the title until the homeowner tries to sell and cannot do so until the title is cleared.
