"All Service Moving was exceptional. Great customer service - easy to schedule and flexible. Royce & Frost did an AMAZING job moving all of our very heavy and fragile belongings. They handled all of our requests and items with care and worked both efficiently and quickly. They were super friendly and very customer service oriented. I can't thank them enough for the GREAT job they did. I highly recommend All Service Moving for anything moving and/or storage related. And DEFINITELY request Royce & Frost to handle your job. Thank You!"

Small jobs welcome

"I called United Prime Van Lines only 1 week before my move - they were extremely helpful and accommodating. On the day of the move we hit a snag, as there was someone else moving on my floor at the same time and we only had 1 elevator. They made the most of it and we moved a lot of stuff down 4 flights of stairs in a timely manner. Trustworthy and competent!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

The duration of moving projects in Boise depends on the home’s size, access, and the season. Smaller apartments may be moved in half a day, while larger homes in neighborhoods like the North End can take longer due to narrow streets or limited parking. Summer and winter weather can also affect timing, so plan accordingly and consult with local moving companies for accurate estimates.

Helpful?

When comparing Boise moving companies, be cautious of vague or unusually low quotes, lack of a local address, or requests for large deposits. Reliable movers provide clear, itemized estimates and written contracts. Watch for poor communication or reluctance to share insurance details. Always check recent reviews and confirm the company’s experience with Boise neighborhoods to avoid unreliable service.

Helpful?

In Boise, moving companies range from full-service movers who handle packing, loading, and transport, to local movers offering labor-only assistance for loading or unloading. Specialty movers are available for delicate items like pianos or artwork. Commercial moving services help with office relocations, while portable storage solutions and self-service truck rentals offer flexibility for DIY moves or temporary storage needs.

Helpful?

Before starting a moving project in Boise, check if your neighborhood requires permits for moving trucks, especially in downtown or historic districts where street parking is limited. Plan around Boise’s frequent summer heat waves or winter snow, which can impact timing. Notify local utility providers early, and research your new area’s waste collection schedules and school zoning to ensure a smooth transition on moving day.

Helpful?

In Boise, hidden costs can arise from access challenges in areas like the Foothills, where steep driveways or narrow roads require extra labor. Additional fees may apply for moving during peak seasons, using elevators, or handling bulky items. Weather-related delays, last-minute packing, and temporary storage can also add to expenses. Review your contract closely and ask about all possible charges before your move.
