After promptly inspecting and bidding our needed work, the crew arrived when scheduled with all needed equipment, studied, then performed the tricky cutting without any harm to the HOA fence, our masonry wall, surface sprinkler system, shrubs or neighbor's fence -- all of which were within an arms length of where the wood needed for fall. Their climbing / rope / saw work was awesome -- best morning entertainment I've had in years. They promptly cleaned up after, and placed 2+ yards of shred on my driveway which we've since used for ground cover. -- All for a fair price

  • A to Z Tree Trimming & Removal
Because of the price of gas, they had me take pictures of the tree to be removed. We took numerous pictures and measured the base of the tree. The price quoted of $1500. was for cutting down the tree and removing the limbs and tree debris. And additional cost would be assessed for chipping out the stump. They (father and son) arrived over an hour late, with a bucket truck and chipper. They declared that the tree was much larger than they thought. They did not have the equipment to remove any of the large limbs. They could not cut through the tree with their saws, as the tree was 8feet across the base. They worked very hard to drop the large branches, but left everything for us to clean up. They quoted an additional $2500 to remove the branches. We don’t have any equipment to remove the larger pieces and have spent the past 6weeks cleaning up and sawing branches down to small enough pieces to move. We still have the large tree to deal with and are still working on branches. They were very nice and would do a good job on smaller trees, but we’re not equipped for this job

Tree trimming was good, but a huge pile of branches was left and never cleaned up. We received a threatening phone call saying they were going to put a lien on the house unless Bill was paid today. A bill was never received and after several months of waiting the pile of branches is still sitting in the yard. Customer service was horrible, but the skill of cutting the trees was good. We will never use the company again, and recommend using a company with better billing, customer service and management

  • Diamond Lawns
Diamond Lawns is very unprofessional. Both their manager Jeff and the service person Kelly DO NOT follow through, they schedule appointments and then don't show up. They really could care less about having another customer. Given the hassle of just simply trying to get a quote to START lawn service, I can only imagine how horrible it would actually be to depend on them to care for my landscape needs

  • Cowboy Window Cleaning
I was given a verbal estimate and he talked me into trimming other trees. He came and started working, but not on the main project, so I thought he was just doing this other one first. Suddenly he says he is done for the day and expects me to pay more than he had quoted me to do the entire yard! I should never have paid him. He talks a good game and makes it like he's doing you a huge favor and that you are getting this great deal. Before, he came to do the work for me, I referred him to a friend. She had an emergency where a tree was about to fall on her house. Unfortunately, my and my friend's work was scheduled the same day and we didn't get to communicate or I would have obviously canceled on him. He gave her a written quote and then showed up the next day to do it and decides he wants more money. She felt no choice but to agree because the tree was going to fall any time. He leaves and he never even tells her. She calls him up and he basically admits that he just decided he didn't want to do the job and it left her in a horrible position because that night the tree came so close to falling on her house! RUN from this guy!!! Extremely unprofessional and does honor agreements. He tries to get more money out of you after he quotes you and you accept

  • Done Rite Tree Co Inc
Great service from start to finish! From the initial site visit to give us a bid (Thank you Kory!) to the day they came out to trim our large Maple a few month later during the winter months! Fast, professional, friendly and they cleaned up everything very nice! Not only did they do a great job, they understand the science of trees and what to do and not to do to ensure the job is done correctly and to maintain the health of the tree. I also had them come out in the spring to trim our large Pine Tree. We will be using them again when we need more tree service and care. The price was also very fair and reasonable. Thanks from John in Kuna

  • Forest Landscaping, LLC
We've tried about 10 different landscaping companies and Forest Landscaping is by the far the best we've ever dealt with. They were the fastest, nicest, and most fair-priced out of any. If you want to work with people who definitely are the masters of their craft and serious about their reputation, then you need to book these guys. They worked around our ridiculous schedule and got 3 days worth of work done in 1 day for us. I don't consider myself a lazy person, but I definitely felt like one seeing how much passion and energy they put into their business. They were the talk of the cul-de-sac that day and my neighbors will still stop me and comment on how great of a job they did and how impressive they were

    Tree Service FAQ

    1. How much does it cost to remove a tree?

Answer: Typically, tree removal costs between $200 and $2,000. Tree removal costs vary widely based on the number of trees being removed, the height of each tree, the diameter of each tree trunk, and accessibility to the tree. Smaller trees are usually less expensive to remove than larger ones, as are those that are more easily accessible.

    2. Do you need a permit to cut down a tree?

Answer: In many areas, you don’t need a permit to cut down a tree on your own private, residential property. But some municipalities may require tree removal permits for conservation purposes or to comply with local ordinances. When you hire a tree removal pro, they’ll be able to tell you whether you need a permit for your specific tree removal project.

    3. When is a good time to trim trees?

Answer: In most regions, the best time to trim your trees is during the winter months. During the active growing season (spring through fall), trimming your trees can leave them more vulnerable to disease and less likely to thrive. During the winter months, when trees are dormant, trimming them will cause less stress and leave them ready to grow again in the spring.

    4. What is the average cost to cut a tree down?

Answer: Tree removal costs between $200 and $2,000 per tree. Establishing an average cost can be difficult because each tree will be assessed and priced based on factors like height, trunk diameter, and accessibility. In general, smaller trees cost less to remove than larger trees, as do trees that are more accessible.

    5. How much does it cost to service a tree?

Answer: The cost to service a tree is typically between $430 and $1,320. The cost to service a tree depends on several factors, including what exactly you’d like done, the tree’s height, its health, the location of the tree, and local labor costs. The national average cost for tree services is $865. Tree trimming isn’t necessary for all trees but can improve their health and longevity by encouraging new growth.

    6. What is the difference between tree trimming and pruning?

Answer: While tree trimming and tree pruning might appear similar to the untrained eye, they serve different purposes. Tree pruning is used to thin a tree by removing unnecessary or burdensome branches. Tree trimming promotes healthy growth by trimming but not removing branches.
