Arch Electric is the leading photovoltaic (solar energy) company in Wisconsin. We provide design, installation, system monitoring, education, and financing for renewable energy projects throughout the Midwest. Our team is recognized as one of the finest and most experienced group of renewable energy professionals in the area. We are also very experienced in large and complicated industrial wiring projects. If you have complex manufacturing equipment, we are very capable of doing the job right the first time.

"My solar panels are up, and I'm happy to say I have gotten a credit on my utility bill because of the surplus power generated. Arch Electric took care of all the paperwork and permitting, and the process was rather simple for me. Their sales reps and installers were excellent communicators, and I am happy with how the installation turned out."

24 years of experience

I have worked in the construction industry (both commercial and residential) for 22 years. As result of this experience I and my associates know about possible bat intrusions at the roof line drip edge, soffit & fascia joints & junctions, roof vents , ridge caps , chimney grout joints , loose flashing , dormer pockets , dormer gables ( tops & ends ) , roof gable tops & ends . A few years ago my friend Mike Bakke was laid up for a short period of time and asked me to help him with his bat business. I set up some ladders for him & learned how to determine where bats were entering housing structures and how to humanely exclude them by installing EXCLUDERS (one way doors) and sealing all other gaps, holes that bats can find and squeeze back in. Using his 34 years of experience he basically taught me almost everything I know about bats and their indispensable value to the environment. With the help of his unique perspective I have developed a deep appreciation for bats and the part they play in balancing earth’s ecology. So much so that I have driven over 100 miles to rescue just one bat! Ken and Barb Bowman of Bat Conservation of Wisconsin rehab bats from near death and nurse them back to life to reintroduce them back to the environment. I work together with them to save as many bats as I can. I can safely say I have never knowingly killed a bat as well as trying to educate as many people as possible on how to safely remove bats from peoples’ homes. It’s also been part of my ongoing endeavor to extol the value of bats in mosquito abatement. (They can eat half their body weight of mosquitoes a night). I look forward to continue serving the interests of helping the public to safely remove bats from people’s homes and business’s, thus saving as many bats as possible.

Though it might look like the same wasps keep returning to your home year after year, most wasps do not return to the same nesting site. Instead, it’s far more likely that your home is attractive to wasps, encouraging different wasps to nest there come nesting season. Consider taking steps to prevent wasps to prevent a new group from coming next year.

The best deterrents for possums include securing trash cans with tight-fitting lids, removing outdoor food sources like pet food or fallen fruit, and trimming tree branches that provide access to your roof or an open window. Motion-activated lights or sprinklers can also startle and discourage them from visiting. Additionally, you can take advantage of their strong sense of smell by using garlic, onion, or commercial possum repellents to keep them off your property.

No, the spotted lanternfly does not sting, bite, or otherwise do anything painful or damaging to humans or animals. Do not hesitate to approach and kill the insects and any eggs you find on sight—you’ll be playing an important role in slowing the spread of these invasive and destructive pests. If you’re not sure if the insect is a spotted lanternfly, snap a picture and contact your local extension office for help identifying it.

Spiders love dark, quiet, and protected places, especially when it comes to laying their eggs. Egg sacs are hidden in small webs that you may find in rarely-used wall corners and ceilings. Spiders are somewhat more likely to lay egg sacs against a house or inside a home to preserve them from the elements. These egg sacs are very durable and can hatch in anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.

When threatened or crushed, stink bugs emit a pungent scent often described as smelling similar to cilantro. However, some people say it can smell like sulfur or ammonia. The scent is produced by a gland on their abdomen and some species can spray the scent too.
