Customers say: True professional

"Ayla Tree Service was phenomenal! We had an issue getting a tree service out after hurricane Helene for six months!! I looked on Google for tree services near me for our community and I found Ayla! They were there the next day to give me an estimate! They started the job that next week! They understood the assignment and kept you in the knowing. These trees were not just cut but pruned, they know what they’re doing and they do it so well, that you couldn’t even tell there was debris made of any kind! The cleanup was fantastic! About 80 people living in one community and not one had an issue! We are very thankful for Ayla Tree Service and you will be as well!"

"Highly recommended Rick's tree service. Rick removed several trees that were cracked or leaning after hurricane Helene. He also cut down a monster of a tree that was located in a very difficult spot between two sheds. Rick's crew did an excellent job cleaning up, even removed post hurricane debris that I was dreading. This was the second time Rick has cut down trees for me. This company does not disappoint."

"They completed the job in a timely manner. Scott followed up promptly. His workers removed 3 trees (1 small, 2 medium sized) and were nice to work with. Will use them again. Price was reasonable."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

In Savannah, homeowners should plan tree service with the local climate and storm risks in mind. Scheduling work before hurricane season and during the dormant winter months can minimize stress on trees. Pay special attention to heritage live oaks and trees affected by salt spray or Spanish moss. Consulting with the City of Savannah's Urban Forestry Division can provide guidance on best practices for local tree care.

Helpful?

When arranging tree service in Savannah, ensure the crew follows OSHA safety standards, uses proper protective gear, and inspects all equipment before work begins. Homeowners should clear the area, secure pets indoors, and notify neighbors if large equipment will be used. Before starting, check for overhead power lines and communicate with the utility company if needed, as recommended by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

Helpful?

In Savannah, most tree removal projects require a permit if the tree is over 6 inches in diameter, and special approval is needed for heritage trees larger than 24 inches. If the tree is on city property or in a public right-of-way, a separate permit is required. For accurate requirements, homeowners should consult the City of Savannah Development Services and the Savannah Tree Ordinance before beginning any tree service.

Helpful?

In Savannah, homeowners may encounter extra costs during tree service for items like stump grinding, debris hauling, or special equipment if access is limited. Permit processing fees or requirements for additional inspections can also arise, especially for heritage trees. To avoid surprises, ask your contractor about possible contingencies and review guidelines from the City of Savannah Development Services before work begins.

Helpful?

For tree service in Savannah, it's important to use professional-grade chainsaws, rigging gear, and safety equipment that meet industry standards. Sourcing materials from reputable local suppliers or established home improvement stores helps ensure quality and availability. When hiring a contractor, confirm they use equipment suited for the region's climate and tree species, and that their safety gear complies with OSHA and local regulations.
