"The guy was excellent and did a great job. I just wasn’t expecting such a high price. The woman on the phone said it would be between $196-$396 but it was almost $500. Truthfully for a couple of hundred more I could have just had a brand new window put in."

Choose a drill bit that is the size of the screws of the anchors you will use. You aren’t drilling through metal or concrete—hopefully—so any standard twist, wooden or all-purpose drill bit will work fine. This depends on how much plaster is applied and in how many layers, but a decent estimate is around 150 square feet.
