"The Thorntonâ s were very professional. They called first to let me know they were on the way to evaluate the work. "Steve & his crew got right to work removing 4 large oak trees with one leaning directly over my house. His prices were very reasonable & he showed up the very next day after his estimate. He & his crew were professional, knowledgeable, skilled, & hard working. Tree roots don’t necessarily break through concrete on their own, but they can certainly take advantage of existing cracks, even very small ones. Leaving the stump alone invites eventual problems, including attracting termites, mold, and fungi.

It depends. Smaller, younger trees take longer to mature, but they're more resilient, their roots don't get as damaged during transplanting, and they recover faster. Plus, they're much more affordable to plant, and it's possible to DIY the planting.
