"They're a bit pricey but they're wonderful! The job is well done and done quickly. If you have any questions they're quick to answer them and explain things very well. I just had them clean my dryer vent this time but I asked them to check the ducts to see how dirty they are (if I need them done urgently). They did that and explained the situation clearly. I will have them back to clean ducts when other projects are completed. I would absolutely recommend them."

"Blackshaw Gorilla Cleaning was easy to work with, and professional. Prior to hiring, Kelvin was responsive, provided straightforward pricing and answered all my questions. On the date of our cleaning he was punctual and did a great job! They worked efficiently and the house is definitely cleaner!"

"Faye washed all windows inside and out. She worked steadily and brough her own supplies. She had good suggestions, too. She does a lot of move in/move out cleaning for residential and many commercial places. Excellent work."

"It was excellent and outstanding. We like them very much. They're just really a step above most of the companies. They came out actually to check the job. They do clean up behind themselves. I would use them again and I would recommend them to a good friend or a family member and I have done so. The work was first-class. It was better than expected. The sealant they put on the grout has held up better than I would have expected. We're real pleased altogether. As for the price, I think they were fair. For the quality of work, they weren't the cheapest but the job they did was I think better than most. I don't think it was overpriced either. They came promptly. We didn't wait an eternity for them to come. They showed up when they were supposed to."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

As a general rule, you should clean your oven at least every three months, though this depends on how often you use it and the amount of residue buildup. A clear sign that your oven needs cleaning is if you notice smoke or a burning smell during use. Many ovens have a self-cleaning cycle, which heats the oven to an extreme temperature. If you use this feature, stay home while it runs and consider ventilating the room, as it can create smoke. For manual cleaning, you can make a paste of baking soda and water or use white vinegar before resorting to harsher, store-bought oven cleaners.

Professionals use high-pressure steam cleaners, brushes, and specialized cleaning solutions for effective results.

While the exact appearance of the filter will depend on your dishwasher brand, it often consists of a cylindrical or rectangular mesh or plastic component. The filter is located at the bottom of the dishwasher beneath the lower spray arm. It includes a combination of a coarse filter, which traps larger food particles, and a finer filter, which captures smaller debris. The filter assembly may be a single unit or a multi-part system that can be twisted or snapped out for cleaning.

Hydrogen peroxide is an effective stain remover for many kinds of stains on porcelain, ceramic, stone, and stainless steel sinks. Always consult your manufacturer’s instructions to ensure hydrogen peroxide won’t damage your sink. To remove stains with hydrogen peroxide, saturate the corner of a cloth or sponge with peroxide and gently dab at the stain until it lightens.

No, soap scum doesn’t cause mildew, but the two substances often appear in the same spots. If soap scum is left to sit long enough and if the area stays damp, mildew and mold can grow on top of it. When these fungi combine with soap scum, your surface can become discolored, grimier, smelly, and more difficult to clean.
