"I spent 5 to 10 minutes on the phone. Vendor was very professional and knew exactly what questions to ask. Based on my answers he told me that the tub should be replaced. Very honest man."

"The Insallers Xavier and Joseph make a wonderful team. They were so polite and pleasant to work with. I'm getting a second bathtub replaced next Fri and have requested Xavier and Joseph for my 2nd Install. They were very careful and precise with their work. My 1963 year old bathroom looks amazing because of them. I couldn't be happier! I highly recommend Jacuzzi Bathroom Remodeling Company. They really care about Customer Service."

"Limitless Renovations handled the remodel of our bathroom, which included oreplacing our lighting fixtures, removing a bathtub and replacing it with a shower, replacing our vanity and it's plumbing, replacing the flooring, changing a door and painting the bathroom. They also painted an adjoining bedroom and closet and replaced the flooring in both spaces. Simon, who handled all of the bathroom renovation except for the flooring, painting and installing the glass for the shower, Eric who installed all of the flooring and Manny who did all of the painting were all a pleasure to work with. They all appeared on time, did their jobs well, were easy to communicate with and asked for our input as the work progressed and cleaned up the spaces they were working in at the end of the day. Kristy, who we dealt with over the telephone during the renovation was easy to reach, kept us advised as to any schedule changes and and handled any changes well. We are very pleased with the outcome."

"We had the opportunity to work with Chris and Billy from Peach Plumbing & Drain. They came to our rescue when my husband was unable to complete a kitchen faucet install. Billy is an amazing plumber. Extremely conscientious, knowledgeable, clean, proactive, friendly and works very quickly. In addition to fixing our faucet Billy helped to update our handles on the shutoff valves and replaced an old pea trap. Both Chris and Billy were very responsive and helpful individuals. We will be contacting them again in the future with new projects as the opportunity arises."

"I had a water leak in my front yard & after researching the highest rated Plumbers, I found Rooter Pro Plumbing of Georgia. They had great ratings on Trust Dale Caldwell, Angi's List, & Google. I scheduled a visit with them & Jerimey Jackson came by & did a leak detection. It was determined that I had multiple leads in my water line and he gave me all of my options & pricing. He is an expert on everything to do with plumbing & a great guy too. My water heater is 23 years old, so I decided to replace that as well. Jerimey led the work crew the next day in replacing my water line & water heater replacement. All the work was complete that day & the results are very good! I am very pleased with Rooter Pro Plumbing and the work they performed & the people I dealt with. Even the people in the office were great! I will use them again & recommend them to my friends & family! Paul Taylor"

"Larry confirmed that the shower pan was not cracked, which would have been a big project to get fixed. He removed and replaced the compromised sealant all the way around the shower. He used a more reliable product when he replaced it. While working he noticed that the seal was compromised in several other places, causing moisture and mold to accumulate. He fixed this as well because he cares about the quality of his work. The was thorough and professional. He did not try to nickel and dime us. I also asked him to look at the sealant on our kitchen counters and the doorframe/ lock to one of the doors. I did not include the additional work in the cost I listed. He fixed both at a reasonable price, even though that was not the reason for the service call."

"I would rate our overall experience with HDez Gabinets as excellent. Pedro and his crew were professional, accommodating (reasonably), efficient and most importantly honest throughout the entire project. My wife and I value these attributes, so I think important to highlight examples of personal accounts: Professional 1. No surprises or hidden costs 2. These guys are skilled craftsmen. Miguel is amongst the best at laying tile, drywall repair and painting. 3. Quality Assurance/Control is paramount for the best results. Pedro was on-sight daily ensuring things were to standard. 4. Pedro and his crew always cleaned up before leaving 5. Pedro or Perla would always call or text me before showing up, as well as a following up at the end of the day. 6. The entire crew was always pleasant, as though they enjoy their work Accommodating (reasonably) 1. These guys will work around your busy schedule. They went above and beyond to ensure the bathroom was ready for my daughter’s baby shower. 2. Issues and concerns were always promptly addressed Efficient 1. Again, no surprises or hidden costs 2. No wasted materials, which usually hits the customer wallet 3. Tangible results each day on the job 4. They brought everything needed to work with them Honest 1. Once again, no surprises or hidden costs 2. My wife and I felt safe with them in our home Lastly, I would like to mention our perception of quality with the finished product exceeded expectations. We love the results. I cannot state the same with a previous master bathroom project done by Cabinet Transformations (Peachtree City). They were overpriced, unprofessional and the quality sucks. If I could go back in time, I would have chosen HDez Gabinets. Home Depot Home Services are also lackluster. I highly recommend HDez Gabinets and look forward to hiring them again in the near future."

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

A good soaking tub will allow you to completely submerge yourself in the water, so it needs to be at least 20 inches deep. Luxury soaking tubs are 24 inches deep so that you can easily have enough space to be submerged in the water once the tub is full.

The first thing to consider when converting a tub into a shower is whether you’d like to simply change out the tub or undertake a complete bathroom remodel. If you’re unsure, reviewing bathroom remodeling ideas can help you decide whether you’re satisfied with your space or could use a change. From there, decide if you’ll handle the job yourself or hire a pro, and then set a budget.

Different bathtub materials have various advantages and disadvantages. Cast iron and copper are considered the most durable materials because they are dense and resistant to damage from scratches or dents. However, cast-iron tubs are heavy, expensive, and may not be suitable for upper floors. Copper offers unique benefits but requires regular chemical treatment to prevent a patina from forming, making cast iron a less maintenance-intensive option. Porcelain is a good second choice for durability. For those on a budget, acrylic is a popular option, though it is less durable.

Labor is the most expensive part of a bathroom remodel. If you’re doing a major remodel, structural changes (such as moving walls) and plumbing reconfiguration can be costly. For a standard remodel, the big-ticket items include tiles and new tub or shower fixtures.

Of the two most common and affordable bathtub materials, acrylic is notably better. Though fiberglass is cheaper, it is also more prone to scratching, chipping, fading, and cracking. Acrylic holds up better to wear and tear, cleaning, and sun exposure; the slight cost increase is usually worth the increased longevity.
