"I contacted S & J home repair to come and give me an estimate for a bedroom that had a sagging floor, utility room floor that was sagging and had been fixed 3 times by different repairmen and a entrance to a bedroom was sagging. I contacted on Friday October 17th 2025 and met their Representative McKenzie Sheffield that following Monday morning. I showed her the damaged areas and she took the time to listen at what I wanted. None of this was covered by insurance but the estimate was several thousand cheaper than what I expected. I wasn?t sure what colored I wanted and she picked a beautiful color. The next day she sent her workers and most of the time you didn?t know they were in the house. These men work fast, quiet and quick. The flooring makes the rooms look brand new.If you?re in need of home repairs and you?re looking for a Home Repair Business that not trying overcharge you, choose S & J Home Repair. To my Valdosta Family & Friends I recommend using them. They treat you right."

A week later I had a brand new roof with gorgeous colored shingles. Everyone in the neighborhood stopped by and literally knocked on the door to inquire. Chris Gaugler was onsite and available for questions anytime to the very end. The crew only took one day to do the house, extended 4 car garage and well house. Photos attached and it really makes a difference."

The door is very easy to raise & lower by hand so I told him no. I asked him if he would check & lubricate the chain. He said that would damage the unit. The owners manual recommends checking the chain tension & adjusting it if needed. He did not look at it at all. He did not perform a safety check either."

"Never did the gutters and siding. I signed a contract and they asked for thousands of dollars more because they made a mistake. I said no. Discovered that they did not price everything I asked. Fired them off the gutter/siding job. Door project took over six months to complete. Supposed to be all white except the door. They created the frame in all white except two pieces that are tan. No one can explain why. The two ladies who took over my projects did a great job as did the team who installed the door. But the tan pieces, not pricing it properly and saying they will cancel a signed contract unless I pay more? Add to that the fact I had to wait six months and the entire experience was a disaster. Not only no but a thousand times no, I would never recommend this company. The only reason I gave one star is because this survey required at least one."
