"I have used HOCO POWER several times over the past few years (after reading excellent reviews on Google). The workers - Brandon, Josh and Christian have always done a great job. Since I initially chose HOCO POWER because of their review, it is necessary to update their reviews with my own experiences. Chris Kemp, the owner of HOCO POWER, has made my project a nightmare. I learned from his son, Brandon, that they do carpentry work as well as electrical. I asked him to rebuild my greenhouse which was damaged in a recent storm. I agreed to pay his full asking price for labor ($8495) but stated I would purchase all materials ($2200+) before the project began. Two weeks later Mr. Kemp stated that he was finished and presented me with additional receipts for materials that he purchased (mostly without my knowledge) in the amount of $1325. Even though $300+ of these materials were questionable (i.e. hammer, broom, sodas, cement, etc.), I paid him the full $1325 he requested. He also stated that he had purchased $1298.43 in electrical supplies (for which there is no physical evidence). I asked him for receipts so that I could reimburse him. He stated that he was not going to show me any receipts and that I was “ignorant” for even requesting them. The only electric supplies present in my 12’x16’ greenhouse are 6 outlets, 2 switches, 30’ of Christmas lights and a ceiling fan. (See pictures). Note: I had a perfectly good working ceiling fan in the greenhouse before he took it down and left it out in the rain to be damaged. Two weeks after starting the project, he left my greenhouse unfinished and stated that he was going to put a lien on my home. The matter is currently being adjudicated. This review is my experience with HOCO POWER."

I had tons of questions but he ended up really taking his time to answer them I had around 7 quotes from different companies but ultimately decided to go with NES because I felt I could trust the work. Even if the prices are similar, go with your gut and pick NES. There was no frills and extra bs. I ended up adding a ton of services on the original quote because the value it provided. If you are looking at this review you have most likely spoken with other vendors. I’ve talked to countless people saying they can’t give any ballpark quotes until they it. Scope of work may change when they see it BUT.. the price of the work shouldn’t change. Every vendor has a pricing sheet of the base level work. "I requested a HVAC tech come out to my home as my AC was not working properly. The tech recommended that I get a new AC. He told me he would have his sales rep come out to talk to me about the options I would have as far as replacing it. Their sales rep showed up. His name is Jimmy, and he told me all these great things about Bardi and their products. We came to an agreement of my buying a cheap HVAC system as I was trying to save money. It would cost me 12,000 dollars for the system. The next day April 5th, 2025 their install tech came out and installed the equipment. I was at work at the time, but I had a family member there. I returned home to find out the lower level of my home was not being cooled, and they had left part of my old HVAC system connected to the new system. It was a burnt up disconnect that should have been replaced and was a major part of what was wrong with my old system. Also they used a panel cover from my old system instead of new. I asked Jimmy to come and pick up the equipment which it states I have three days to reject the equipment in the contract. He expressed that I couldn't reject the equipment after it was installed. They had a tech come out the next day April 6, 2025 to fix the downstairs not working, and he fixed it. The next day it happened to be cold outside so I turned on the heat. No heat was coming out of the vents just cool air and the fan unit was running extremely loud outside. It was so loud it sounded like the fan unit was in my room on the second floor, so I turned it off. When I did turn off the fan unit made a horrible exploding noise. Once again I called Bardi and asked them to come get their HVAC system, they refused. Crystal the customer care rep is who I spoke with. She scheduled another repair tech to come out on April 12th to look at the HVAC system. I waited the entire day and no one showed up. I finally called and the receptionist told me it was their employee appreciation day no one would be coming. Monday I received a call from Crystal their customer care rep stating she text me and told me no one would be coming, but I never received that text. She scheduled another appointment for Easter Sunday. I stayed home Easter Sunday instead of going to church, and no one showed up again. I've stated each and every time I've spoken with someone from Bardi that I don't want to do business with them but they are basically trying to force me to keep their equipment at this point. This is by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. These people are trying to rip their customers off basically. This should be illegal. I've reach out to get a lawyer to force them to remove their equipment from my home. Stay away from these people at all cost."

"Robert quickly responded to my request for services, even though it was a late night request. He is extremely knowledgeable and asks a variety of questions to better understand the electrical problem. During his over the phone diagnosis, he gave several potential issues that may have been the problem. One being a potential issue on the power company side. With his honest phone diagnosis I was able to contact the power company prior to his on-site diagnosis and the issue was resolved by the power company. Robert followed up as promised and was prepared to keep our on-site appointment if needed. It is his extensive knowledge, pleasant demeanor, and honesty that will ensure I will call him with any future electrical needs and I would not hesitate to refer him to others."

"I asked Mr Sullivan personally do the work needed. He agreed, but apprentice did the work.My experience thus far has been less than expected, and more importantly shocking with threats, bullying, including threats to put a lien on my home, insults, and the wrong assessment, invoiced for work not done, and work done, but not needed. Mr Sullivan came with an assistant who completed most of the work. Holes were left in my ceiling and wall and in addition garbage was left on the floor. He said he had to go home for lunch and would return. One Friday he called me and said he needed to pay his employee and to send him $850 with no invoice and just a payment link. The electrical box connections were faulty and could have caused an electrical fire. Hired a second professional company to fix the problem and paid over $1000 for the rewiring correctly.nSent several letters to Sullivan Electric to find a solution. Sent formal complaint to Better Business Bureau."
