I called Carolina Appliance Service on approximately 2/20/14; after speaking with Bob on the phone, it was decided that the dishwasher main board was covered under warranty, but that the control panel ($110.36 + labor) was not covered. I gave him a credit card # to order the part from Samsung. The next morning Bob ordered the part and said it would take a week to get. Okay, I thought.
Meanwhile, I decided to call Samsung to see if the dishwasher was still under warranty. After speaking with them, I discovered that because I had signed up online, my 12 mo warranty had been extended another 3 mos. Thus my warranty was up 3/24/2014. I was assigned a Samsung Transaction#, and told Samsung since I had a previous relationship with Carolina Appliance Service, I wanted the transaction assigned to him. This was done, Samsung emailed Bob the warranty information andthe Transaction #. It seems that I was always the one contacting Bob; in fact, I emailed him and told him that the unit was still under contract. I didn?t hear a word from him, so I called and asked him if he?d gotten my email. He said he never checks emails.
Then, I called up Bob and told him the unit was still under warranty and I needed him to cancel the order using my credit card, as the part would be taken care of through the warranty. He told me he couldn?t do that, as he had already ordered the part. I told him fine, I would call my credit card company and cancel the transaction. He tells me he has never heard of an additional 3 months on a warranty. I tell him that there is one, I have spoken to Samsung, they have approved it, and to please check the Transaction # email. Now things go from bad to worse.
I would call him daily, ask him if he received the part, when could he come out to fix the dishwasher? One day he calls me and says that he?d checked the Transaction # and the part is not covered, there is no warranty. Now he is basically calling me and Samsung a liar. He tells me to call Samsung to get it straightened out. I call Samsung, they tell me it is covered. On Friday, 2/28, Bob tells me that he will call me on Monday, 3/3, between 7 ? 7:15am to schedule an appointment. He also tells me that if I want him to fix it, I will need to pay in cash. What?
Somewhere around 2/26, I started receiving calls from Samsung?s Warranty Division. They asked me when the provider was going to schedule an appointment to come out to do the service. I told them that he said the dishwasher was not under warranty, and that he had not received any parts. The Warranty Division did a quick search and found out he had received the part a day after he had ordered it. I checked with my credit card company, and also found out that he had credited the monies back to my account a day after he ran it. The Warranty Division asked me if I wanted to schedule someone else to come out and I said yes. They also told me that it should take just a day to get the part.
Another Samsung-approved company came out yesterday. It was not the boards that were the problem, it was the water valve and a sensor that had run a muck. The technician told me that basically when the Smart-Auto light comes on, there are only 2 things that could be wrong with the unit ? and it has to do with water.
The moral to this story is to make sure that you have a Samsung Authorized dealer do your work. And make sure that person is up on technology. I could have been out $229.00."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/nc/matthews/carolina-appliance-service-reviews-7920228.htm"},"position":8},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"3 Guys Garage","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"GA","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Arona C."},"reviewBody":"My car broke down and I had my car towed to 3 Guys Garage where Tom contacted the parts store and Had them to replace the starter that had a lifetime warranty"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ga/savannah/3-guys-garage-reviews-7346334.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Estate Home Builders, LLC","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"GA","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Frank M."},"reviewBody":"We attempted to purchase a new home from Russell Miller representing Estate Home Builders in Bluffton, SC. The home is located at 300 Farnsleigh Ave, in Hampton Hall, Bluffton, SC. We had an executed purchase contract signed by Russell Miller, an Approved VA Home Mortgage, the Appraisal completed and the Home Inspection completed. As we compiled the paperwork to complete the loan process everything came to a halt when Russell Miller and Estate Home Builders were asked to provide a "Written" 1-Year New Home Warranty, as required for a VA backed loan. Russell Miller refused to provide this warranty and instead offered to warranty his work by honoring "his word". On Friday before the Labor Day Weekend, he quickly volunteered to break the contract and allow us to obtain a refund of our earnest money deposit. We saw no recourse at the time since we were using a VA Loan and one of the requirements for a new home purchase is the "Written 1-Year New Home Warranty". We signed the release and the next day Russell Miller and Estate Home Builders put the home back on the market and increased the asking price by $30,000.00. I suspect that Russell Miller may have had another offer at a higher price than we had previously agreed to in our purchase agreement and used the requirements of the VA Loan to break the contract. It seems very suspicious that Russell Miller (1) would not warranty his work in writing on a "new home" and (2) had a contract within 2-3 days, at a higher purchase amount than we had agreed to in our purchase agreement. This whole encounter with Russell Miller stinks. We are out over $1,200.00 (Appraisal Fees, Inspections Fees, etc.) and this builder has increased his profit margin on this home at our expense. This was a terrible experience and anyone dealing with Russell Miller and Estate Home Builders should be aware of this unscrupulous individual. Anyone and everyone should avoid dealing with this Russell Miller representing Estate Home Builders, Bluffton, SC. He really helped me deal with my insurance company and quickly sent a certificate of completion and warranty to me. He got it done on time, did an excellent job, and the architectural shingles made it look a lot better. I would highly recommend him and I would hire him again.

"It took a lot of phone tag to finally get the technician to our house, but once here he was efficient and professional and did an amazing job. The chip was in the edge of a white quartz countertop, very difficult to match perfectly, and the repair is absolutely invisible. Not the lowest bid, but worth the price."

FAQs for home warranty projects in Bloomingdale, GA
Many benefits come with buying a home warranty when selling your home, but there are drawbacks to consider, too.
Pros
Peace of mind of home repair coverage
Incentive for buyers
Transferability to new owners
Prevent post-sale issues
Cons
Expensive cost
Exclusions of certain features or appliances
Coverage limits
Often difficult to understand
Potential wait for claim service
On average, a home warranty costs about $1,100, ranging from $80 to $8,300, depending on your home size and its features, type of home warranty plan, and the coverage included. Your home’s location also factors into the cost of a home warranty, with areas with a higher cost of living experiencing increased warranty costs.
Additional cost to consider include:
Deductibles: $75–$125 per call
Add-ons: $2–$35 per month
Premiums: $200–$1,200 per year
Several factors make a home warranty worth it or not, especially the age of your home and the condition and age of the appliances in it. If you buy an older home with most or all original appliances, a warranty may be worth the investment as these home features are more likely to need repairs or replacements. However, if you’re buying a new-construction home, a warranty may already be included, and you may not need to use it for several years. In this case, purchasing add-ons may not be worth the cost until a few years later.
Offering a home warranty when selling can make your property more appealing to potential buyers. The warranty gives them peace of mind that many systems or appliances will be covered if they need to be repaired or replaced in the near future. Additionally, the home warranty may cover problems that arise during the home sale, such as a leaky roof or water in the basement.
The main types of home warranties cover the basic essentials, but additional plan types focus on specific areas such as:
Appliance plan: This plan covers typical household appliances like refrigerators, stoves, washer and dryer, built-in microwaves, and dishwashers. It costs $360 and $540 per year.
System plan: Costing between $360 and $540 per year, this plan covers central home systems like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and water heaters.
Combination plan: This plan type covers both systems and appliances, costing between $545 and $1,500.
