The work was visually beautiful. What I didn't know until it was too late was that the stoop was installed incorrectly:
- No means of drainage was provided
- No flashing was installed
- Stoop was not pitched properly
- Regular sand was used instead of poly-sand
Over a three year period, water seeped in and eventually reached a level causing individual stones to sink and water to leak into my home, causing damage. By then my two year warranty was up.
I had to have the entire stoop ripped up and reinstalled properly at a cost of $1900. In addition I had to pay for repairs to the inside of my home. I used a different installer for the repair because Mike had become unprofessional and surly. He had little to no interest in fixing my problem even though I was willing to pay him once I understood that the warranty was up. It is bad enough that he completely botched the job, but the way he treated me is unforgiveable.
