"Having a sump pump is definitely the a good decision on our part. We want to use the basement as an entertainment space. The company installed a sump pump at a reasonable cost and within a short time frame. Matter of fact they were able to install it faster than I expected. I appreciate all that this company has done for me and my family."

"The plumber who did the installation was excellent. His work passed the city's inspection. However, the firm rushed to install the hot water heater before the permit was issued. I was worried about getting a fine from city hall. Also, they started the work right after I agreed to the work order that evening without even coordinating with me on the installation time. At that time, I had to leave home to fulfill another commitment."

"Ragsdale was able to work in an appointment for me with two day notice. My drain from the attic was completely clogged. After several attempts to clear the pipe the technician installed a new condensate pump and tapped to the water line to drain fixing the problem and future proofing my system in the attic. This took a couple hours total and the work was completed at 8pm .. great service and the price was right .."

"THIS is the company you want to hire. I hired them to replace my main sewer line after it was erroneously installed by another company. The job also required rerouting of the plumbing inside my home, as well as installing a pump for my basement plumbing. They did a fabulous job. I'd had several conversations with the owner, Matt, before they started the job so he understood my situation & what I was looking for. Not only did he show up on-site, but he was actually digging up my yard as well. His service & operations managers also came on site. Great service, very professional, responsive, reasonably priced. I couldn't be happier with the results. Would have no problem hiring them again or recommending them to anyone."

Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

Sewer ejector pumps need to be cleaned at least once a year by a professional. You shouldn’t attempt to clean it yourself because it can release sewer gasses that are toxic to humans and can be fatal. But to keep the system as clean as possible between professional inspection and cleaning services, be sure to only flush human waste and toilet paper. Avoid flushing items that can clog the system, like paper towels, grease, oil, or menstruation products.

3/4 HP is stronger than 1/2 HP. Horsepower measures how much weight can be moved and how fast, or the power needed to move 550 pounds one foot in one second. 1 HP equals 550 foot-pounds per second, so the higher the horsepower, the heavier the load it can lift. While 1/2 HP is a standard, powerful option, 3/4 HP has the extra strength to handle heavier, larger doors with ease.

A water pressure booster doesn't require special maintenance. Like any house system, inspections should be a regular part of your annual schedule. Check for leaks, faulty valves, pressure loss, and mineral build-up. Pressure loss could be a result of mineral build-up, and you can descale the system with a vinegar and water solution.

If you have a self-cleaning washing machine but you’re still seeing lint, your water pump filter might be clogged. To clean it, you should unscrew the drain hose, then remove the water pump filter. From there, you can inspect it and clean it with warm water before replacing it. Check to be sure your washing machine is functioning by running a short cycle.

You should be fine. Most high-grade grinder pumps have a 24-hour holding capacity within the tank. You can continue to use the facilities so long as the power outage does not stretch into days. In a worst-case scenario, attach a generator to the grinder pump, providing it has sufficient electric capacity.
