"Having a sump pump is definitely the a good decision on our part. We want to use the basement as an entertainment space. The company installed a sump pump at a reasonable cost and within a short time frame. Matter of fact they were able to install it faster than I expected. I appreciate all that this company has done for me and my family."

"The plumber who did the installation was excellent. His work passed the city's inspection. However, the firm rushed to install the hot water heater before the permit was issued. I was worried about getting a fine from city hall. Also, they started the work right after I agreed to the work order that evening without even coordinating with me on the installation time. At that time, I had to leave home to fulfill another commitment."

"Ragsdale was able to work in an appointment for me with two day notice. My drain from the attic was completely clogged. After several attempts to clear the pipe the technician installed a new condensate pump and tapped to the water line to drain fixing the problem and future proofing my system in the attic. This took a couple hours total and the work was completed at 8pm .. great service and the price was right .."

"Asked me for a screwdriver first thing. Installed tank in wrong place, he said that it didn’t matter. Did not support new tank. Had to come back and move and was somewhat ticked that he had to do so."

"THIS is the company you want to hire. I hired them to replace my main sewer line after it was erroneously installed by another company. The job also required rerouting of the plumbing inside my home, as well as installing a pump for my basement plumbing. They did a fabulous job. I'd had several conversations with the owner, Matt, before they started the job so he understood my situation & what I was looking for. Not only did he show up on-site, but he was actually digging up my yard as well. His service & operations managers also came on site. Great service, very professional, responsive, reasonably priced. I couldn't be happier with the results. Would have no problem hiring them again or recommending them to anyone."

"Update from 20 Jan 2026: I`ve been a repeat customer of Keep Smiling Plumber, Electrical, Heating and Cooling in the past for several home-related repairs. After having an unfortunate experience with Keep Smiling PEHC during my most recent service, I had some misgivings about the company and whether I would return as a customer. In regards to their customer service, everyone that I`ve engaged with (technicians, onsite supervisor, receptionist) has always been professional and courteous which goes a long way with me. The issue that I had was technical in nature and left me with some dissatisfaction regarding the quality of work. After speaking with leadership of this organization Mr. Powell and Ms. Amy ,I believe that they hold the highest standards and expectations for their employees and ensure that any work-related issues are duly addressed/resolved. I can sincerely say that they have regained my confidence and trust in contacting them in the future for my future HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing home needs. The manager I spoke with told me that there wasn`t any way the damage of the pump could come from the technician doing a drain and flush of the water heater. He told me that it would cost $1200 to replace the pump on the water heater. After speaking with the manager at Keep Smiling, I called another company which I`ve seen before in the community and spoke with a plumber and explained to him what happened. The technician at the other company told me that the pump could definitely be damaged if the pump was still plugged up and not turned off while the water heater was being drained and flush. I called the manager at Keep Smiling and shared those details with him and he replied that he understands what I`m saying but there was nothing he could do about it. I told him that I don`t have any reason to lie about any of this and felt very frustrated and cheated by the fact that I went in expecting for them to do a maintenance check for $59 for plumbing but ended up spending a $1000 for new. Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, it’s normal (and beneficial) to have a small amount of water in the bottom of your sump pit. It shows that your system is collecting groundwater, rain, and excess water from around your property—just like it’s supposed to. However, if the sump pit is always full, you might have a leak or a faulty sump pump.

Yes, many providers offer warranties for new pumps and labor. Confirm terms before scheduling.

Most sump pumps come with power cords that can be plugged into an outlet, but there are options that can be hardwired into a home’s electrical system. Either way, it’s smart to have a backup power supply in case the electricity goes out during a storm. That way, the sump pump can keep running and removing water from the sump pit.

The cost to repair a sump pump ranges from $400 to $550, depending on the extent of the repair and your location. Minor repairs, like fixing a switch or replacing a float, can cost just a few hundred dollars. However, more significant issues, such as motor replacement or addressing electrical problems, may cost closer to $550. Keep in mind that regular maintenance can help prevent costly repairs, and if a sump pump is beyond repair, a full system replacement ranges between $650 and $1,400.

Grinder pumps alone cost $300 on average. The average cost to install a new grinder pump is between $2,000 and $4,000, including the pump and labor. This price can also change based on the exact type of grinder pump you choose, labor costs in your area, and the power system your home currently has.
