"Chad called and came out promptly to assessed the problem. After entering the attic, he provided pictures of signs of two rodents, discussed a plan, and price. Then he returned 3 days: one to install traps and secure home from outside eliminating all openings from outside, next to check traps, and third to check traps again, remove them and sanitize my attic. He was always friendly, on time, and discussed his actions that day and next steps. The price was reasonable and is guaranteed even if I sell to another home owner, with my paperwork from him I highly recommend recommend Georgia Rodent Removal."

"Our yard man had been stung several times the previous week when he unfortunately found this large nest full of very aggressive hornets! (He is OK.)
1)  After my initial call, within 15 minutes Justin Arnold called me to set up an appointment.
2)  We decided on Thursday, 6/18 between 12:00 and 2:00.  He said he would call if he could come by earlier.
3)  Thursday morning, about 11:00, Justin called to say he could move the appointment up and be at my house by about 11:15.
4)  Justin arrived as promised and immediately got to work and successfully removed the nest.
5)  Justin was very friendly and professional.
6) The cost of this work is not cheap, but it is reasonable given the expertise and equipment needed, and the risk involved.
6)  I give Rid-A-Critter 10 out of 10 in all categories. I will call Rid-A-Critter again for I am a very happy customer!

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Silverfish can infest a bed, but it’s not likely unless you have a major infestation. Silverfish may be attracted to the fabric of the bed and the dark corners of the mattress, so you should check your bed thoroughly if you are seeing silverfish throughout the house. Seeing them in bed is a bad sign, because it means they are eating your cotton or silk sheets while they’re there.

If the cat is stray (you noticed a collar or other signs of domestication), the kind thing to do is to try and find the owner. Call around to other neighbors to see if they can lead you in the right direction. If you can get close enough to snap a picture, try posting an image of the cat to local community groups and pages on social media.

If the cat is feral, you can try to humanely trap them and participate in a local shelter’s TNR program. Before attempting capture, call around to local rescues and shelters to make sure one near you does participate in a TNR program. They may even be able to catch the cat for you.

Chemical treatments, bait systems, and physical barriers are common approaches.

Yes, sleeping in your house after receiving a pest control application should be no issue, but the best course of action is to wait for the treatment to dry completely. The drying process takes a few hours. Some treatments, such as fumigation, may require a longer drying time, so be sure to ask the technician what drying time you can expect.

To determine if you have a rat or mouse infestation, look for several key differences. The most obvious is the size of the rodent: rats are significantly larger with thicker bodies, while mice are much smaller and more slender. You can also identify them by their droppings; rat droppings are larger and rounder, about the size of a raisin, while mouse droppings are smaller, like a grain of rice, and often have pointed ends. Other signs include the sounds they make, as rats produce louder scratching and gnawing noises due to their size. Behaviorally, rats tend to be more cautious, whereas mice are more curious and might be seen more often. Additionally, rat nests are typically larger than those of mice. If you are unable to see the pest or find clear evidence, a professional inspection can provide a definitive identification.
