"The shower was removed in half a day with no problems or issues. The tub was installed in one day with no issues or problems. All work was completed efficiently and cleanly. I was impressed with the professionalism of all workers involved in the project. The contractor, Kevin Hughes, handled all issues with great customer service. I would not hesitate to use Equal Rooter again."

"I noticed a small developing problem with my septic tank.  I called Danny's and they came out the next day, on-time and performed the services at the price they stated.  In short, they did everything they said they would do.  I'm very satisfied, will use again and would recommend their services to anyone

"My kitchen faucet was falling apart and the pipes were leaking under the sink. I called ACS and they quickly sent someone over to my house. When the guy arrived, he was polite, neat, efficient, and professional. He didn't waste any time and quickly installed the new pipes and new faucet."

"The service provider was pleasant, professional and very responsive.  It's always a nightmare to experience a natural disaster but Drimax was sympathetic and managed to calm me down.  The response time was very good considering the fire took place 2 days before Christmas and he did get some crews out there on Christmas Eve.  They mainly put dehumidifiers the first two days (keep in mind it was Christmas Eve).  This didn't entirely make sense to me to have dehumidifiers running while the wet insulation was still there, but I have seen emergency restoration crews do this before so it must be protocal.  In short, I am grateful to the gentleman who gave up his Christmas Eve to help me out.  This is the best restoration crew I have used (sadly I have used 3 over the years).

"Christine worked with me on the organization while her two assistants cleaned the bedrooms, bathrooms and as much of the rest of the place as they could. The shutter and windows guys were still working as it turns out, because of delays on their projects. I will definitely have them back to clean up once EVERYTHING is finally done, and have Christine help me organize the bedroom closets and and utility room off the laundry room,"

"Early the next day, Monday, a representative of Milan and Son Plumbing contacted me to schedule the installation of our new energy efficient water heater for Monday afternoon. The technicians arrived with the proper water heater and set about disconnecting the old one. They were very polite and respectful of our private property. The job was finished within 2 hours and the technicians did an excellent job of explaining the new water heater and how it met all code requirements. They cleaned up after their work and took the old water heater with them to dispose properly."

Install Garbage Disposal questions, answered by experts

As with many appliances, proper maintenance is key to maximizing your garbage disposal’s life span. If everyone in your household is on board with proper care and maintenance, like running water while operating the disposal, you should get plenty of years out of your unit. Avoid putting the wrong food items down the disposal, including pasta, rice, bread, and more.

Most garbage disposals have a reset button that can be triggered with a tool as simple and accessible as your index finger. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. Most garbage disposals come with a hex wrench.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.

The main issue with garbage disposals is clogging. This can mean a clogging of the pipes that expel the food along with water, or a clogging of the mechanical parts themselves. The problem lies in the solution because you can’t easily see clogs if they’re inside the system, and reaching in to dislodge stuck items is a risky proposal. Call a pro and ask what they would do, but if you can’t see the clog easily, and running the unit won’t free it, you need to let a professional handle the fix.

It’s one thing that helps, alongside vinegar and baking soda. Ice acts as an exfoliant, helping to lift off any bits of food stuck on the disposal blades.
