"Installers were very easy to work with. They worked hard installing a French drain and added some length at no additional cost. They also removed and took away old drains that weren't useful. I will hire this company again to install another drain."

"Steve and his team were amazing. I cannot recommend them enough. From the initial evaluation, Steve was honest about my system. He quickly identified those portions of the system that were functioning and not functioning. Steve and the team check the functioning aspects of the system to ensure they were functioning, would last and not require replacement. I NEVER felt like I was being up-sold or taken advantage. I cannot recommend Steve and the team at Filtration Direct enough for any issue you maybe having with your water. His team is honest, respectable and very professional. Not to mention the work they did was top notch. Thank You"

"Yahoo! We loved this company! They started (and ended) with excellent follow through and communications. Because of an unexpected turn of events, our clinic was without water --and we grew panicky trying to find an expedient solution. After a boatload of false starts, we finally found Tampa Well Diggers and from that point forward we were good. They fit us in the day after our call to inspect the unused well in our front yard. Immediately they said they could do it and they delivered what they promised in the time they said it would take. But most of all, the staff was superb... especially the General Manager, James. I can't say it was fun exactly, but James made it not hurt so bad with his sense of humor and his reliability and the advice and guidance along the way. I would highly recommend this company if you want it done right and need to know what you are getting. Professional, skillful and reliable! (maybe a little fun....)"

"Chris and Anthony of Affordable Irrigation are the best. They quickly diagnosed the problems I was having with my sprinkler system and got to work fixing the problem right then and there the same day I called them, when other companies said they couldn’t get to me for a few weeks. They came prepared and went the extra mile for a very fair price, and I appreciate how much they were able to help me out in a pinch. 10/10 would use them again and I would certainly recommend their services to anyone else out there. Thank you!!"

Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

When a backflow valve fails, wastewater will flow back into your system, contaminating your drinking water. You’ll immediately notice backflow valve failure from a rotten smell and brown water coming from faucets. Get in contact with a septic pro or a plumber immediately if you suspect this has happened to you.

Yes, it’s possible to install a sewage ejector pump outside rather than in a basement. However, there may be some extra steps involved, including running pipes from the inside to the outside of your home and digging (and re-filling) a hole for the basin. If you aren’t comfortable with this type of work, contact a plumbing pro to handle it for you.

Yes, it’s normal (and beneficial) to have a small amount of water in the bottom of your sump pit. It shows that your system is collecting groundwater, rain, and excess water from around your property—just like it’s supposed to. However, if the sump pit is always full, you might have a leak or a faulty sump pump.

The most common cause of a clogged sump pump is natural debris buildup. As water enters the sump pit, it can carry small pieces of debris that build up over time, or the debris can get caught in the filter. If you forget to cover the pit after cleaning the sump pump and pit, debris can also collect in the pit. Corrosion on the metal discharge pipe can also clog the pump. Additionally, if your pipes freeze, it can prevent water from draining properly and cause a clog.

The difference between an ejector pump and a sump pump lies in their purpose and design—an ejector pump functions to remove liquid gray water and soft solid sewage waste from your home. If you have a laundry room or bathroom in your basement, an ejector pump for your sewage tank prevents sewage from backing up in your washing machine or bathroom’s drains.

A sump pump is designed to remove excess groundwater that may enter your home, either due to flooding or periods of heavy rain.
