"Ben was so professional & knowledgeable. Once I explained our dilemma, he assessed the situated, gave us options and availability and squeezed us right into his schedule. Our new 40 gallon Rheem Water Heater was installed and up and running in just a couple of days of my initial call for service. "Mark was excellent. He contacted me via phone in the morning to give me an approximate time in the late afternoon that he would be at my house, he assured me no matter what he would be out today to pump the tank and test the lift station pump and float. Mark then called again in the afternoon to let me know he was on his way to my house. He and his helper pumped the tank and tested the pump which was not working. It was raining which they worked right through to install a new pump. We were back up and running before my teenage kids were back home that evening. Cote's has my septic business from here on out."

"Scott did a great job! He is fast to respond, friendly, efficient and considered our budget. We had the main sewer pipe replaced, which is a big job. We had 3 quotes from other local Plumbers and Free Flow Plumbing had the best price hands down. I highly recommend Scott and his company."

Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

You shouldn’t shower while a sump pump isn’t working. Although household wastewater isn’t supposed to go into the sump pit, it’s best to wait to shower until your sump pump is running properly and able to move excess water out of the basement. If you need to shower when the sump pump isn’t working, aim for a short shower.

3/4 HP is stronger than 1/2 HP. Horsepower measures how much weight can be moved and how fast, or the power needed to move 550 pounds one foot in one second. 1 HP equals 550 foot-pounds per second, so the higher the horsepower, the heavier the load it can lift. While 1/2 HP is a standard, powerful option, 3/4 HP has the extra strength to handle heavier, larger doors with ease.

The life span of a water pump ranges from five to 15 years on average. Regular maintenance can extend its life. If you notice significant drops in performance, strange noises, or frequent malfunctions, consider a water pump or well pump replacement. Always get in touch with a professional if you're concerned about yCan I install a water pump myself?our pump's condition.

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to move wastewater and solid waste to the municipal sewer or septic tank. However, for fixtures located below grade (e.g., in a basement), gravity is not sufficient.

The purpose of a sewage ejector pump is to actively pump this wastewater and solid waste upward into the main sewer line. Without an ejector pump in this situation, wastewater would have no way to exit and would eventually back up, causing a sewage overflow or flooding in your basement. If all of your home's plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity can handle the drainage, and an ejector pump is not needed.

Common problems include motor failure, clogged discharge lines, and float switch malfunctions. Regular maintenance prevents many issues.
