One suggestion is for him to be a little better at communicating, like asking us to check his work so we can let him know if we wanted a tile switched (which we still did check and had one switched out because it was chipped). "Yes i would rec commend Rafael BUT keep an eye on things as the project progresses. I had a tile backsplash installed in the kitchen and the work performed was quality work, the problem is he did not extend the tile behind the refrigerator as requested and agreed upon, but rather stopped it at the cabinet line leaving 3-4 inches of exposed wall; it looks unfinished and detracts from the entire job. My other issue is he used my kitchen sink to clean all his materials when he was done, and after he left I found that my garbage disposal was jammed and it took me an hour to repair it, removing tile spacers, chunks of hardened grout and a dry wall screw, all caught in the bottom of the disposal. All of our communication regarding scheduling time and date, confirming arrival times etc, were all done via text so I did reach out to Rafael via text to share my overall impressions both good and bad. I have never heard back form him. He was paid, the check cleared, i guess he feels it's not his problem anymore."
