"We ordered a 15 yd dumpster after doing our due diligence with different companies and offerings, this was the best fit for our needs. We were tasked with cleaning out my mother’s home of over 30 yrs. Herman and his team delivered on time, protected the driveway and allowed us extra time to keep detrashing to ready the house for sale. Those extra days were without additional fees! He also answered my questions while on vacation and his driver checked in periodically to see how we were doing. This was not my first rodeo with this type of equipment rental and by far this was the most agreeable and concerned provider I’ve worked with. I highly recommend Herman’s Dumpsters, plus everyone loved his logo!!"

Small jobs welcome

"Boris was amazing! He made scheduling a breeze and was here within 24hours. I had a pretty big haul which he knocked out in 30 mins. It also included a king mattress that he brought from downstairs to toss. Couldn’t recommend someone more. We will definitely use his services again!"

Dumpster Service questions, answered by experts

Yes, renting a dumpster is one of the most effective ways to remove yard waste. The average cost to rent a dumpster is $400 per week, but it usually costs less for yard waste removal because you should only need a small dumpster. A more cost-effective alternative is to use dumpster bags for yard removal, especially when clearing lighter debris like leaves, branches, grass clippings, and weeds.

The cost-effectiveness of renting a dumpster versus hiring a junk removal company depends on the amount of junk you have. For a few individual items, junk removal is often cheaper, with average costs ranging from $140 to $380. However, for major cleanouts or large home improvement projects, renting a dumpster may be the more economical choice. Dumpster rentals cost an average of $300 to $480 per week. Junk removal companies typically charge based on how much space your items take up in their truck, so the cost can increase significantly if you have a large volume of debris.

Permits depend on local regulations concerning street use and public spaces. Check requirements with community authorities to avoid fines or logistical issues.

Since roll-off dumpsters are usually for one-time jobs, you’ll probably want to rent one. However, you can always purchase a dumpster in the future if you believe you’ll use it frequently and have the space to store it.

Choosing a junk disposal method begins with considering what kind of junk you’re getting rid of. If it’s hazardous waste, you’ll be more limited in your options and will either need to haul it to a dedicated disposal facility yourself or find a junk removal company that works with hazardous materials. If it’s general waste and mostly consists of small items, renting a dumpster is a great way to save money if you and some friends can move the junk into the dumpster yourselves. To save time and energy, though, hiring a junk hauler is the best option.
