"Very Good. Shane was right on designated time and completed the install in excellent time. Put all the removed fan parts in box received with new fan (same model) for roadside pickup. Sweep up all debris dropped on patio. Very reasonable price and will use again shortly for installation of outside lights at garage door. Have used this business in the past. Highly recommend Destiny Electric for any electrical work. No one better."

"The owner personally "put his life on hold' to help me much faster than I was originally told was the case. This man came twice as the end of his day, to work with me and I couldn't be more pleased. Also, he "knew his stuff" and was very efficient. I highly recommend this pro, and would hire him again."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

As a new homeowner in Palm Coast, start with an electrical panel inspection, GFCI outlet installation in kitchens and bathrooms, and whole-house surge protection. Upgrade smoke detectors to hardwired models for added safety. For comfort and storm readiness, consider ceiling fan installation, outdoor lighting, pool electrical safety checks, and generator preparation—especially before hurricane season to ensure your home is protected.

Helpful?

Your Palm Coast home is a strong candidate for electrical upgrades if it was built before 1980, has original wiring, or lacks surge protection. Homes near saltwater or with screened lanais and pools often require corrosion-resistant electrical systems. If you’re adding smart home features, outdoor lighting, or a backup generator, consider an electrical inspection to ensure your system is ready for new demands.

Helpful?

In Palm Coast, frequent circuit breaker trips, dimming or flickering lights during storms, outlets that feel warm, or a persistent burning odor often signal the need for electrical work. Homes near the coast may also experience faster corrosion of wiring and outlets. If you notice GFCI outlets failing or see outdated aluminum wiring, schedule an electrical inspection before hurricane season for safety.

Helpful?

For electrical projects in Palm Coast, keep a non-contact voltage tester, digital multimeter, wire strippers, and electrical tape available. A GFCI outlet tester and weatherproof outlet covers are especially useful due to the humid, coastal climate. Flashlights, surge protectors, and corrosion-resistant screws help prepare for storms and power outages, while a basic toolkit ensures you’re ready for routine electrical inspections.

Helpful?

In Palm Coast, most electrical projects such as panel upgrades, generator hookups, or outdoor lighting installations are completed within 1-2 days. Whole-house rewiring may take up to a week, while smaller jobs like GFCI outlet installation or ceiling fan replacement are often finished in a few hours. Permit approval and scheduling can be delayed during peak hurricane preparation months.
