"My wife and I just bought a house in Pinellas County, near our daughter and family, but we were still living on the East coast of Florida. We came in to coordinate projects related to plumbing, electrical and carpentry. I had three companies/contractors for each category scheduled to come in and review the projects and give me quotes. Trying to schedule 9 contractors is like trying to herd cats, but it got done, even though there were some time variations on when they came out that day, all but a few showed up. I always like to meet and get multiple bids on any projects I have for my home. The inspection report for the home showed several pluming issues. Of the three plumbers who came out. Only Paul Laezza from Phillip Maurici, “The Clean Plumbers” came back with a quote without additional prompting. Again, his bid was not the cheapest, but his demeanor and demonstration of his skills won me over. His company sent out a plumber who did exactly what they said they would. I was on the East coast at the time, and we communicated via text and voice. He sent me pictures of his work and all my plumbing is working beautifully. I found Paul to be very professional, pleasant to talk with and an expert in his field. The company “the Clean Plumbers” had some issues with phone support over the weekend (they share an off-hour phone service), but eventually that was resolved. I will use Paul again for any future plumbing needs."

"Garrett came on Monday morning to start the job. The line had been marked and went under my garage floor, so they had to trench out through the concrete. They told me up front that the entire job could take three days. So, they very carefully cut the trench and started breaking up the concrete. Note, that my start date is in August, so this was very hot work. Day two they completed getting rid of the concrete and unearthing the sewer line. The found it was ABS piping and that when the house was built it was laid OVER the footer of the house and out to the takeout. This was a major problem as when they considered going under the footer the pipe did not meet the line out to the city connection. At, that point they had to reassess, call in the city to see where their pipe was underground, call the proper people to mark all the lines, as the power, cable, phone and sprinkler lines were all in the same place.
They had started the process of digging, by shovelful, no mechanics, and had to continue that process. To make things more complicated, they had to go under my french drain. Dave and Jack were wonderful. In spite of all of the complications and the heat, they were cheerful and detailed. On day three, I believe, it was it passed inspection by the city and they finished the work of closing it in on day four.

However, one plumber actually took the time to thoroughly test the pipes—something none of the others did—and showed me that they were still in good working condition and didn’t need to be replaced. Even so, he still provided a quote that was about half the price of the others. Given his honesty and fair pricing, I would absolutely hire him for any future plumbing work."
