The plumber was quickly able to determine the cause of problem & repair the hot water heater.

I'm extremely pleased with the service I received from Larry and if I ever need a plumber again I will definitely be calling Garrett Plumbing. I'm usually happy with a company that's rated A on Angie's List and this was no exception! I love soft water in my home and when Larry came to service my system I spent the whole time talking, watching, and learning from him. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient and understanding that I wanted to know everything about my water softener so that hopefully it will bring me endless years of service without having any more issues (but if I ever have any more - I know who to call). Larry has 20+ years of experience servicing water softeners and was willing to answer all my questions. Larry even called back that night and made sure the regeneration cycle had completed and everything was functioning properly! Their business cards have "the plumber you'd trust with your house keys" and after the service I received, I really think I would!

All was flowing well by the time they arrived. They checked all the drains in the house and then worked on the disposal. Works great!

They did a good job on my water heater

They did a lot of plumbing services for our church. We were remodeling and there was a lot of plumbing that needed to be done. They installed new toilets and all that kind of stuff. We had a backed up drain at our church, and they came right out right away and took care of the problem. Just they knew we were in a bad situation on a Sunday morning. Some people are elderly, and can't walk distance, and the closest bathroom was at Winn Dixie in the shopping plaza. They knew we needed help right away.

They've done lots of work for us in the past. Every once in a while you get a guy who doesn't know what he is doing, but it's very rare. They're pretty pricey, but we feel like we can rely on them. They always set up an appointment right away.

They did what they were suppose to do.  They were here February of 2016.

Our water heater was leaking on Friday and Garrett Plumbing was good enough to come a 7 PM so we would not have to go without hot water all weekend.

..I understood that there would be overtime charges because of weekend and the time of day. I shut the water off to the house and didn't want to wait overnight and try to get someone on a Sunday. The plumber arrived earlier than some of his other scheduled jobs to take advantage of what sunlight remained. He explained that the pvc connection was made incorrectly and that was the cause of the leak. He removed the section of pipe that ran from the service entrance shut-off valve to the pipe that led to my backyard hose bibs. The section he removed contained another valve that shut water off to my backyard. 
He was installing the new section when I noticed that it didn't contain the valve to shut-off water to my backyard. (I usually have the water shut-off to the backyard except when I need it because I don't want to have to shut off water to the house when repairing leaks in the underground pipes or the hose bibs.) When I questioned the plumber about  this, he muttered, "customers!" and went to his truck for a valve which he then installed.
My problem with Garrett is that the quality and professionalism you get when you call for service varies with the person who shows up for the job. I've noticed this from past experiences. For that reason, I'm looking for a plumber with consistent quality employees. For this job, I believe the plumber was probably well qualified, but I believe that he should have installed the same type of hardware that he removed (the shut-off valve) before proceeding.

Phoned Garrett, They did work and sent me the invoice.  All while I was out of town.

The plumber had to access the pipe thru the kitchen wall. He cut a hole in the wall and had to saw the iron pipe to gain access

 to the blockage. We were so glad the repair was complete and clean up was done.

I was dissappinted. Garrett was always my first choice for plumbing needs. I later learned that the terrific family owned company had been sold to the people I called, who were using the same name. But now they're just another unknown company to me, and have to rebuild their reputation before I ever use them again.
I think when a family owned company is no longer family owned, been sold, Angie's List subscribers should be updated about that.

Great job good price

I've used Garrett Plumbing for a few years and have always been satisfied with their work. In this job they replaced three toilets, two sinks, and three shower heads in existing bathrooms. The work was completed in one day with one short callback. Then last week I had them come out to repair the handles in my utility sink. Their work is professional and reliable and I will continue to use them for plumbing in my home.

It was very minor work. He replaced the low collar under the sink to fix the leak. My husband provided the screw to complete the job, since he didn't have the part. He was going to charge us to go buy the parts. He was here for an hour and a half. It was a lot of money for a small job. It was a $56 service charge, then $28.60 for each 15 minutes. The replacement part cost $29. He acted like he was doing us a favor by taking off 15 minutes from the time. It was outrageous to be charged that much. He waited in the master bedroom while my husband went to get the screw. I had to wait in the living room. He was nice and polite enough, but it made me feel uncomfortable. I felt that maybe he could have waited in his truck, since he didn't have anything to do. He answered my home phone when my husband called. It was a bit odd.
