"Julio and the guys are great. Immediately after the storm Julio responded, gave us a quote and got right to work. His scope of knowledge and the skilled team are more than just drywall. We want them to stay and restore our damaged home. Can't say enough about them. They made a stressful time alot less stressful."

"Clifford made time during the end of his work day to help us move out our refrigerator so we could place fans to dry water that wet the drywall behind the refrigerator. Then He assessed the degree of damage, informed us about the reasons he didn’t think it needed replacement (drywall dried out & no standing water left between the floor & wall). He helped us put the refrigerator back. Clifford is conscientious, articulate, & honest. I highly recommend him!"

"If I could give them a 10, I would. The owner, Dewey, was phenomenal. He bent over backwards for me to be sure the job was done right. Charles did an awesome job smoothing out my textured walls. I am very picky and I would not hesitate to contact Dewey again for my next project."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

You should wait at least 24 hours for drywall mud to dry before sanding or applying another coat. However, the exact drying time depends on several factors, including the thickness of the application, room temperature, humidity, and the type of compound used. Thicker layers, or projects in high humidity, may require 48 hours or more. Lightweight compounds tend to dry faster than heavier, all-purpose ones. You'll know the mud is ready when it feels completely dry and firm to the touch and has changed to a consistent light color. Sanding too early can cause smudging or gouges, so patience is essential for a smooth finish.

Wall anchors are suitable for drywall and plaster walls, which are common in most homes. However, different wall materials may require specialized anchors. For concrete or masonry walls, you'd typically use concrete anchors. When dealing with other wall types, such as brick or tile, specific anchors designed for those materials may be necessary. Always consult with a hardware specialist or check the manufacturer's recommendations to ensure you select the appropriate anchors for your specific wall type.

Most load-bearing walls are exterior, though they can also be interior.

It’s not a good idea to plaster over broken plaster (unless by broken you’re referring to cracked, in which case that’s perfectly fine). However, broken plaster can be a sign of a larger underlying issue like foundation damage or severe damage to the lath holding up the plaster, so it’s worth investigating before you simply plaster on top of the damage.

For maximum stability, install grab bars on wall studs, as this will adequately support the weight. However, if you don't have access to studs, you can get by with wall anchors. If opting for the latter, choose specialty hollow wall anchors.
