"my wife and i were interested in getting impact windows and we decided to go to assured storm protection. Through trial and error we did extensive research on a particular company to choose and to my surprise, assured has exceeded my expectations. The customer service was impeccable. The profound amount of knowledge they had made the entire process smooth. The installers were amazing along with the management and engineering. During the installation the installers noticed an imperfection in the glass and called the manufacture right away about this issue. Almost instantly a representative from assured called me to "assure" me the issue will be resolved within 6 weeks. They even handed me a $2500 check with my name on it to hold until the final window was installed. 4 weeks later the window came and the job is completed. I gave them back the check and the company was kind enough to give me a $150 credit for the inconvenience"

"Once again ASP proves to me and my family how great they truly are. The project was completed a while ago and now I had an issue with the way my sliding glass door was sliding. I called and within three days Michel and Jonathan came by to fix it. This is one of the reasons I recommend them to EVERYONE! Not only do they provde the best products and install but they also provide service like no other even after the job is done. I am so proud I went with them."

"We hired Guinn and Sons to install our hurricane panels. The process was smooth and they were transparent and communicated throughout each step of the project. They offered us a fair price and provided a great quality finishing product. Thank you, Guinn and Sons!"

"East Coast Windows and Doors were fantastic! We had a rather large job, with 32+ openings being replaced with PGT Windguard / SIW. We got 3 quotes from different A-listed vendors, and I felt the most comfortable with ECW. They were able to speak to the fire codes in my area and what options were allowed. They were also the only vendor that was able to provide me with full glass options for a very large window on the side of the house using an alternative impact brand (SIW) for just these windows, as PGT did not manufacture them that large. As it turned out, they are also platinum distributors for PGT, which gives them deeper discounts with the manufacturer, and they beat the other vendor quotes by a meaningful margin! We visited their showroom where we were able to visually examine and walkthrough options with their knowledgeable team. Prior to ordering, Chris and Ed came out personally to make confirm all measurements and detailed options, giving us valuable feedback in the process. As this was a VERY large investment for us in our home, we wanted to feel 100% sure that we had everything covered, and ECW made sure that this was the case. The team performing the installation worked efficiently and was courteous, friendly, and helpful. Ed (owner) called me personally to keep me posted on the status of the installation and really went out of his was to make sure that we were satisfied and that everything was done fully to our specifications. They handled the permits, scheduled the inspections, and gave us everything for the HOA approval and made sure that everything was in order for the final inspection. Everyone we worked with at ECW was committed to helping us through the process, answering all of our questions, and making sure that the project went super smoothly. We absolutely love the look, quality, and protection of our new windows and doors, and continue to get compliments on them! I would not hesitate to recommend ECW to anyone in the market for new quality windows and doors!"

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

To maintain a glass shower door, clean it regularly with a non-abrasive cleaner to prevent soap scum and hard water stains. Using a squeegee after each use is also recommended. Additionally, periodically check for leaks and ensure all hardware remains secure to prevent long-term damage.

Once you’ve gotten any scuff marks, grime, and burn marks off your glass stovetop you can use vinegar to finalize the clean without leaving streaks. Just put some white vinegar in a spray bottle and spritz it onto the stovetop before wiping it in a consistent direction with a microfiber cloth.

Smart glass doesn’t use a lot of electricity, and you can expect a standard window to add between $1 and $2 per year to your electric bills. Smart glass is proof that energy-efficient windows work. Although your smart windows may consume a little energy to operate, they can save enough energy to offset the costs. If you’re concerned about the minimal bump to your electricity consumption, you can opt for smart tint, which doesn’t require electricity to work.

The average mirror has a lifespan of 10 to 15 years. After that, the coating begins to deteriorate, losing its reflective properties. Acrylic mirrors have a slightly shorter lifespan of seven to 10 years. Higher-quality acrylic sheets with UV-resistant properties have lifespans similar to those of your average mirror. By maintaining your mirrors and keeping them out of direct sunlight when not in use, you can extend their lifespan. Some mirrors can last for decades.

Using caulk is one of the simplest and most recommended methods to finish glass tile edges. It creates an elegant seam between the glass tile and the adjacent area, along with a waterproof seal. With this method, you want to use a caulk color that matches the grout and, along with the grout, compliments the tile. Make sure the caulk line is smooth and even. Alternatively, you can use a bullnose or tile trimming to edge, however, that will also require caulk to seal.
