"Excellent Service – Highly Recommend Schahar Schahar is an outstanding plumber – professional, honest, and extremely reliable. He arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the issue, and explained everything clearly before starting the work. The job was done efficiently and with great attention to detail. Fair pricing, no surprises, and he left the area clean afterward. It’s rare to find someone this trustworthy in the trades. I will definitely use Schahar again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled and dependable plumber."

"Romain's Plumbing is the absolute best! We had a very bad leak in our 50 plus year old home that two other plumbers could not fix, pin point nor identify. He was able to troubleshoot and find exactly where the problem was, explain, figure out, fix and repair everything quickly and efficiently. He is honest, trustworthy, hard working, and most of all reliable and fair. This is the number one Plumber in South Florida!"

"He did a smoke test free of charge, which was good. I did feel the prices were on the high side and the person who came out took a high pressure sales approach for hydro cleaning. I felt like if I had not been diligent about asking questions I would have signed up for a service that I did not need."

"Well I wish I would have called them earlier. I called several large plumbing companies and didn't get this service. They wanted to tear my house apart and charge me thousands of dollars. There was no commuincation with these other companies. 1-A  Florida Plumbing Company explained everything and made me feel comfortable. I usually don't give recommendations. However, It was money well spent. Thanks again,

Toilets questions, answered by experts

No, your toilet tank should not empty completely when you flush. Although the water level will dip a lot after you flush, it shouldn’t be totally empty. If your tank is empty, you might have issues with your fill valve, float ball, or toilet trip lever. You should check all of your toilet parts to ensure they’re working correctly and make any necessary adjustments.

Basement toilets don’t always need a pump. However, it is the most common setup because plumbing systems use gravity to move waste away from the home. Basement toilets often sit below the home’s main sewage system, and installing a sewage ejector pump pushes the wastewater and sewage up to the main sewer line. Alternatively, you can use an upflush or macerator toilet that breaks down the waste and pushes it straight to the main sewer line rather than via a sewer line from the bathroom.

This rumbling noise after flushing may sound like a hammer or knocking inside the walls. When you flush, it opens a valve so additional water can come in. However, if the valve malfunctions, then this rush of water has nowhere to go, which makes all the excess water hit your pipes and create a loud hammering sound.

The biggest sign that your flange leaks is if you notice water at the base of the toilet. The cause is likely due to a poor flange installation, so you might have issues with loose bolts, an uneven flange, or a cracked plastic flange. Add a deteriorating wax seal to this, and you have a recipe for disaster. The best solution is to shut off the water valve, replace the toilet flange, and seal it with a new wax ring.

Yes, you can have a toilet without a septic tank. However, it will have to be a composting toilet. Composting toilets work similarly to aerobic septic systems in that the waste, which sits in a separate compartment below the toilet itself, is slowly broken down by aerobic bacteria. These toilets typically have a vent to get rid of harmful gasses with a fan, which requires a battery. You will have to dispose of waste in the toilet manually every three weeks to every three months, depending on how many people are using the toilet.
