"Cooper and Reese from the Pompano office made the trip down to Miami to help us stabilize the concrete slab in our shop. They were very professional and from the start, made sure I understood what they were found and why. They left the area exactly as they found it and if I had not been watching I would not know they were there. Thank you!!"

"Kendall was terrific. He was quick to response to our request to repair and close up an exterior concrete block hole caused by plumbers repairing a water leak. The service, work and customer service were great and quick (approaching hurricane) with a fair price being charged. Highly recommended - Brendan of Boynton Beach"

Hello! My name is Brent, but at work they call me Karl. It's a atory I can tell you on the job. I started my career in consttuction about 3 years aho. I lnow that isn't long, but I am a quick study, and i jave learned a great deal in that time. I work for a smal General Contractor. Yet, in the tgree years i jave been there I have moved up to being a lead on our jobsites with a couple guys under me. I have a great work ethic and attention to detail. I always keep a tidy workspace. Some of my stronger areas are carpentry: framing, baseboards, casing, crown moldings, formeork, etc. Also, concrete: forming, pouring, altering/patching, shower pans etc. I am also getting pretty good at dhanging drywall. Your satisfaction is my goal.

"We had extensive subsidence on our driveway and several slabs had cracks. The estimator came on time, was professional, described the process, made appropriate measurements, took photos and promised an estimate by email. The estimate arrived 48 hours later and was right in line with others we received but much less than re-pouring the driveway. We approved the job and set a date for it's initiation in about one weeks time. They showed up right on time and commenced work. What was thought to be a 3-4 hour job eventually took 8 hours. No complaints from the contractor. The driveway was level, not perfect, but better than I had hoped for. I ground the uneven cracks myself and filled them with fast-set concrete. The driveway looks almost like new. We're happy so far. Time will tell how permanent the fix is."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Address drainage issues, avoid heavy loads, and seal cracks to prevent future settling.

On average, a mudjacking repair lasts between five and 10 years, though it can sometimes last for well beyond a decade under ideal conditions. Its longevity depends heavily on several factors, including the condition of the underlying soil, environmental conditions like freeze/thaw cycles and erosion, and whether the root cause of the sinking, such as drainage issues, is resolved. Because it doesn't always fix the underlying problem of loose soil, mudjacking is often considered a temporary solution. Proper maintenance and evaluation can help extend its lifespan.

Mudjacking is your best bet for leveling concrete on a tighter budget. It’s less expensive than foam or grout mixture. For smaller, surface-level issues, you could also use a self-leveling compound, which creates an even surface over existing concrete—it’s a budget-friendly option suitable for DIY enthusiasts.

Most states and municipalities don’t require concrete mudjacking companies to carry a specific license, but they usually need to have a general contractor’s license, and they should be fully insured. The only exception is if the mudjacking company provides foundation repairs as well, or if it offers mudjacking for home foundations. In that case, they will typically need a foundation repair contractor’s license. You can check state requirements and then use Angi’s license lookup tool to confirm that a company is properly licensed to provide mudjacking services in your area.

Most houses are expected to settle over time, but foundation sinking of more than a few inches or uneven sinking of more than an inch for every 20 feet is cause for concern. Any significant or uneven sinking should be assessed by a professional to determine the cause and perform any necessary repairs.
