"Buyer Beware! We just had a new Goodman air handler and condenser installed by Safari Home Services, October 2019. Our three year old Carrier A/C was improperly installed during construction of our new home, causing major problems. The Carrier unit was installed horizontally, suspended from the garage ceiling. My issues lie with Safari’s recommendation to install a new unit in a vertical position on the garage floor. Extensive duct work from the ceiling to the garage floor, plus the unit cost came to $6K. We were told the performance would be better vertically, not horizontally as originally installed, plus it was also the Mfg’s recommendation. Research of the Mfg’s documents and website, we realized that horizontal installation is perfectly fine. We now know we were deliberately misinformed and to overpay by thousands for something we didn’t need, just isn’t right. We were scammed! We relied on a company that should have treated us fairly, honestly and with respect, but instead we were conned."
