"They did a great job.  My Palm was  about  thirty feet tall.  They  did cut-down only.  They  were  done  in about  an hour.  The  tree was dying and I had it cut down before it fell  down.  Thanks MidFlorida Tree Service.

"These ARE the guys you want to remove your trees!!! Had 5 large trees removed. One was ready to fall on neighbor's roof. Owner (during quote) said "that" tree needs to be removed today. He made some calls to one of his crew that was finishing a job in the next town and they agreed to do the entire job. They arrived at 3pm and finished at 5pm (they even raked the lawn and blew the debrie from the roof). Very experienced crew. They worked very well together and discussed roping plans and cleanup prior to starting on each tree (I liked that since safety was a major part of their MO and each limb that fell was critical between fences and houses). Equipment used included a small dozer on tracks that had a grabber that made quick work of cleanup. Price quoted was much lower than expected. I was so impressed with their concern about the dead tree that was about to fall I tipped the crew. By the way, I called my homeowners insurance company that the dead tree was about to cost them a neighbors roof (and their answer): "We only get envolved "after" the tree causes the damage"."

"Roger and his crew did an outstanding job trimming several trees and removing a large laurel oak tree that was aged out and too close to the house - risky during storms. They were so good at maneuvering equipment and bringing down large limbs without damage to fencing, the pool cage or other nearby trees. On time, removed debris and cleaned/raked area. They have been my go-to tree service for years and never disappoint. Fair estimate/excellent work!"

"I am highly satisfied with the work completed by Nivenâ s Family Tree Service. I received a phone call almost immediately after submitting the request on the Angi app. The quote was extremely reasonable and an appointment was scheduled at my convenience. I had two relatively tall dead pine trees removed. Not a single surrounding tree was damaged, nor any structure on the property. I was simply fascinated by the skill and work completed. I highly recommend Nivenâ s Family Tree Service!"

Customers say: Quick response

"Justin and his crew removed 28 very large pine trees around our home. All trees with in danger of falling on our home. They also did the stump grinding for each tree. They raked and removed all mess that was made. They did this all in just 3 and half days! We were very pleased with how Justin ran his crew and made sure everything was done right and safe as well. We will be using Justin again in the near future and will be happy to recommend him and his crew to everyone! Thank you guys for a job well done"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Early signs that a tree is struggling include premature leaf shedding and lesions or other strange markings. Peeling bark, dead or rotten branches on the ground, and a conspicuous lack of leaves can all be signs that a tree has started to die. By the time a tree starts leaning, it’s usually too far gone to save.

Coverage varies quite a bit by policy, but most homeowners' insurance policies will cover $500 to $1,000 of the cost of removing a tree. Additionally, if your tree causes damage to your property, like your house, many policies will cover some or all of the costs to repair the damage, depending on why the tree fell.

You can find pruning paints and sealants for trees, but you shouldn’t use them on a topped tree. Coatings like these often inhibit the tree’s healing process. An important exception is if there are dangerous fungi nearby that the tree is particularly vulnerable to, like oaks and oak wilt. Sealing cuts can help prevent fungi from taking root.

There are four common ways to prune a tree correctly: crown thinning, crown reduction, crown raising, and crown cleaning. The method you choose depends on the purpose of pruning. However, making the correct cuts is a vital part of the process, regardless of your method. Pruning incorrectly can damage or even kill the tree. So, you may want to hire a professional tree-trimming company to tackle the task.

You can use a chainsaw, but it won’t remove the entire stump or root ball and is not a recommended method. It takes quite a bit of physical work to achieve and will likely dull or ruin your chainsaw. Instead, consider using salt, herbicide, light deprivation, boiling water, stump grinding, or burning to kill a tree stump. These methods allow you to kill a stump using minimal machinery and physical exertion.
