"Larsen’s Pool and Spa did an excellent job restoring our 20,000 gallon swimming pool. From the initial contact to the finishing touches, Larsen’s performed expertly in every phase. Erik Larsen, John Martin and the entire Larsen’s team is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Communication is excellent and follow through is spot-on. "I’m writing this review because this company did not do a good job, they did a GREAT job. Today it seems most companies just want to do the minimal to get by, well that's not the case with Tropical Pools. They did the best resurfacing on our existing pool that money can buy and they were very reasonable with their price. Not only did they do the job as per our contact. But each day they cleaned up the area around our pool deck and made contact with me as to what they have done and what they plan to do next. Keeping us updated gave me and my wife piece of mind. That in itself is priceless! The job was completed within the time frame that was stated in our contract and at the price quoted. What more can I say? If you are looking for an excellent pool company that has ethics and morals look no further than Tropical Pools of Central Florida."

"I hired PCS Pools to build a new pool and spa with an outdoor kitchen and patio area with a fire table. They did an amazing job! Its so beautiful and we love spending time out there and having pool parties! I received cheaper quotes but these guys were worth the extra money given the beauty of the design and quality construction."

"I've been in Valrico for twenty-one years so you could imagine how many contractors I have dealt with in the past. Mike and Ana were professional and attentive to all my questions and needs. At the end of the project my wife and I are very happy with the results and recommend this company to anyone who wants to remodel their swimming pool."

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

To hire a land surveyor, you need to start by searching online for reputable professionals in your area. Here are a few steps to take when making a shortlist:

  • Browse land surveyor service website

  • Check credentials

  • Read customer reviews

  • Find their contact information

  • Call or email to inquire about more information

  • Ask how far they travel, if you’re some distance away

  • Find out how they charge for their services

  • Ask about schedule and turnaround times

  • Repeat these steps for one to two other services and compare pricing

Construction typically takes 3-6 months, including site preparation and assembly.

A few different types of land surveys can help determine certain features and boundaries of your property. These include:

  • Boundary surveys describe the actual borders of a property. These are generally required when trying to get construction permits issued.

  • Location surveys provide much of the same information as a boundary survey but also include in-depth information about any improvements made to your property.

  • Mortgage location surveys are usually required by lenders and title companies before financing or offering an insurance policy.

  • Site-planning surveys are done before applying for building permits and can be issued before any major home improvements.

  • Topographic surveys provide a formal map of land elevations. It can also describe the location and size of natural features and any land improvements.

While concrete walls do not need to "breathe" in the traditional sense of the word, they do require waterproofing and dehumidifying methods, particularly in basements below the water table. Concrete both contains moisture from its initial installation and can absorb water when exposed. Ensuring proper basement ventilation , installing a vapor barrier, and controlling water exposure are all important tasks.

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.
