"I was very pleased with the service provided by Source Electric Services. Forrest and Alex arrived the same day I called and were able to identify and repair the problem. Forrest also resolved the issue related to a poorly installed alarm system. I highly recommend Source Electric."

"I called Space Coast Electric to fix an open ground issue in one of my bedrooms. They arrived on schedule. They found and fixed it for a reasonable price. They also did other miscellaneous electrical things for me while they were here. Great job. I recommend them."

"Outstanding. I noticed the other day that my front porch light had dropped out of the recessed receptacle and was hanging by its wires. I quickly contacted several electricians from Angie's list and only heard back from two of them. Both were pleasant and helpful. One could not get to me for about 7-9 days. The other (Phaze Electric) had me on their schedule the next day. Jerome showed up early and quickly assessed what was needed. He obtained the necessary part from Lowe's and was back in a flash to remove the old housing and install the new one. I also used Phaze Electric a couple of years ago to hang ceiling fans on my back porch and they did an excellent job then, too. Phaze Electric will be the company I call in the future for all my electrical needs. I trust them to do a great job at a reasonable price."

Small jobs welcome

"Deltron Electric replaced our outside electric meter box and main breaker. We got a call 1/2 hour before they were scheduled to come saying they wouldn't be coming because they had the wrong parts. Had to reschedule for 3 weeks later. When they came they had 150 Amp main breaker instead of 200 Amp. The replacement meter/main breaker box was different from the original box so the technician had to lower the box for the cable tv cables. In the process he cut about 18 inches off one of the cables and left it without a connector. He also lowered the box for the telephone cables and cut the wires so we lost home phone service. Don't know why he lowered that box as it would not interfere with new meter/main breaker box if he left it where it was. I fixed the telephone wiring and TV cable. He came back a couple of days later and replaced the 150 Amp breaker with a 200 Amp breaker. Things are as they should be now but it wasn't a pleasant experience."

"On March 6, 2024, I had my level 2 EV charger installed by EVPLUGZ of Melbourne Fl. Since the installation I have truly enjoyed using my charger. My Jeep originally came with a 110 volt and it took 12 hours to charge and the wire to the charger became warm. After installing my level 2 charger it only took 2 hours and 20 minutes and I have not seen a great amount of electrical billing. I am very happy to have connected EVPLUGZ and having them to install the level 2 charger. The installers were friendly, timely and the clean up was done after the work was completed."

"My overhead fan would flip my circuit breaker off. Mark had to do some troubleshooting but diagnosed the problem and fixed it in about an hour. Mark’s rates were reasonable and I would definitely hire him again should I have any more electrical issues."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

To enhance electrical safety in Cocoa Beach homes, install tamper-resistant outlets and GFCI protection in areas accessible to children, especially near pools or outdoor spaces. Use weather-resistant covers for all exterior outlets and secure cords away from play or pet zones. Cord protectors and elevated outlets help reduce pet risks. Ensure all outdoor wiring is properly grounded, and consider motion-sensor lighting and battery backups for added safety during frequent storms.

Helpful?

Establishing a seasonal inspection routine in Cocoa Beach is essential due to the humid, salty air and storm risk. Test GFCI outlets monthly, especially before hurricane season. Inspect outdoor wiring and fixtures for corrosion and ensure weatherproof covers are secure. After major storms, check for water intrusion or wind damage. In winter, clean salt deposits from exterior outlets. Year-round, verify smoke detectors and extension cords are in safe condition.

Helpful?

In Cocoa Beach, address any burning odors, sparks, hot outlets, or frequent breaker trips immediately, as these indicate urgent electrical hazards. Minor issues like a single non-working outlet or mild corrosion can typically wait a few days but should not be ignored. Schedule routine upgrades, such as adding outdoor wiring or switching to LED lighting, before hurricane season to ensure your electrical system is storm-ready.

Helpful?

In Cocoa Beach, always shut off power at the circuit breaker and confirm with a non-contact voltage tester before starting any electrical work. Due to the coastal climate, keep hands and tools dry, and check for signs of salt corrosion on outlets and wiring. Simple tasks like changing light bulbs or resetting GFCI outlets are manageable, but contact a licensed electrician for any panel work, new wiring, or persistent electrical safety concerns.

Helpful?

Electrical maintenance in Cocoa Beach should include cleaning outdoor fixtures every few months to remove salt buildup and applying corrosion-resistant coatings annually. Test GFCI outlets monthly and replace any that fail. Have a professional inspect your electrical panel every few years, keeping the area dry and clear. For pools and spas, test safety systems regularly and address corrosion promptly. Consistent maintenance helps prevent issues from storms and coastal exposure.
