"After submitting my quote on homeadvisor, I immediately received a phone call from Tim who came out right away and provided a free estimate after almost an hour of diagnosing my electrical issue. Courteous, friendly and with reasonable pricing, he came out to complete the work the following work day and provided great, high quality work. Will definitely hire Smarthome Solutions for future electrical work."

"Outstanding. I noticed the other day that my front porch light had dropped out of the recessed receptacle and was hanging by its wires. I quickly contacted several electricians from Angie's list and only heard back from two of them. Both were pleasant and helpful. One could not get to me for about 7-9 days. The other (Phaze Electric) had me on their schedule the next day. Jerome showed up early and quickly assessed what was needed. He obtained the necessary part from Lowe's and was back in a flash to remove the old housing and install the new one. I also used Phaze Electric a couple of years ago to hang ceiling fans on my back porch and they did an excellent job then, too. Phaze Electric will be the company I call in the future for all my electrical needs. I trust them to do a great job at a reasonable price."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Palm Bay, pay close attention to lights that dim or flicker even when appliances aren’t running, outlets that emit a buzzing sound, or switches that feel unusually hot. These issues, along with persistent breaker trips or visible corrosion on electrical panels, are often early warnings of moisture-related wiring problems common in coastal areas. Addressing these signs promptly can help prevent more extensive electrical repairs.

Helpful?

For Palm Bay’s coastal climate, choose copper wiring for durability and use weather-resistant, THWN-2 rated wire to guard against humidity. Install AFCI and GFCI breakers where required, and opt for outdoor-rated, sealed outlets to prevent moisture intrusion. Whole-house surge protectors and generator transfer switches are smart additions, especially with Palm Bay’s frequent storms and lightning activity.

Helpful?

Upgrading your electrical system in Palm Bay enhances comfort by supporting efficient air conditioning, powering outdoor living spaces, and providing reliable backup during outages. Modern panels and surge protection reduce the risk of damage from storms, while smart upgrades like dedicated circuits for EV chargers or improved lighting make daily life safer, more convenient, and attractive to future homebuyers.

Helpful?

Homes in Palm Bay built before 1990, or those with original electrical panels, often benefit from upgrades to support today’s technology. If you’re installing a pool, planning for hurricane-ready features, or adding a home office, consider an electrical assessment. Signs like frequent blown fuses or limited outlets also suggest your home could be a strong candidate for new electrical projects.

Helpful?

In Palm Bay, if you notice extension cords used as permanent wiring, outlets without proper covers, or evidence of spliced wires, these are strong indicators that past work may not meet current safety standards. Homes lacking GFCI outlets in wet areas or showing rust and water stains near electrical components often need professional evaluation, especially after heavy storms or flooding typical in the region.
