"Wouldn’t recommend or rehire for services. Could never predict if/when installers would arrive, little project oversight on behalf of the company. After finishing the project late, I was disappointed and frustrated with the lack of attention to detail and sloppiness, particularly with the trim and caulking. I will give credit that they offered to come fix the remaining issues that I identified after the install, but I chose not to accept the offer and repaired the issues myself."

You can rely on Precision Garage Door of Florida to provide the type of service you would expect from a locally owned company; while enjoying the security that doing business with a National Franchise company can bring. Each owned & operated as an individual franchise. Our slogan is "We Fix Garage Doors Right" and we spend a lot of time defining and redefining what that means to us as a company and what it means to you as a consumer. This singular focus has led us to pioneer the industry standard warranty for garage door repair and a training program for technicians that is second to none in the garage door industry. 5 Percent discount for mentioning you found us on Angie's List! Additional email: [email protected]. Additional Phone Number: (407) 473-6090

"My garage door wasn’t closing properly for a few months, but I couldn’t find the problem, then one day I noticed my right runner was dislodging from the ceiling. I called and Korah with Precision Garage Door sent Beau and Chris to get it fixed the same day. They were there on time in and out in an hour, provided great customer service and I didn’t feel overcharged. My garage has never run so smoothly. It was a much better experience than I initially anticipated. 10 out of 10!"

Randall Anderson, owner of Randall's remodel repair has been serving the Orlando area for over 20 years providing quality remodeling, home repair and building services of all types.

"We hired Randall after checking reviews on Angie's List, Nextdoor and checking the BBB. There was nothing but praise for the work he had done for people. We came to an agreement on price and the work started fine. After a short time he started showing up less and less and the project drug out. We kept giving draws every time he asked for money until most of the work was paid for, though not complete. On July 27th Randall asked for another $1000, thank goodness it took a little while for my wife to get a break so she could write a check, when she took it down to him all of his tools, etc., were gone. He left the job unfinished (about 75% complete) and when we gave him notice of abandonment he replied by email to sue him but we wouldn't get much from a defunct company with no assets. The stucco was not finished, the door that was installed was not sealed around frame (open to the elements), electrical unfinished, water faucet not installed, screen pool cage frame and screen not replaced, holes in wall not repaired, balcony rail not complete, balusters not compliant or grouted, gutter not reattached, lights in pantry and under balcony not installed, trim around kitchen window not installed, French door hanging loose, hinge screws not tightened, and none of the painting has been completed. Then there is the damage to other items from not protecting them while work was performed such as stucco globs all over the poos deck, the pool deck drain is blocked by stucco and or concrete, pavers brick missing (don't know where that went, it was there when work started), stucco and grout left in the yard what was St. Augustine. I am sure there are things I missed, but this shows Mr. Anderson is not of the same character as he was at some point in the past."

"We purchased a 2 bedroom house and decided to turn it into a 4 bedroom house by converting the garage into 2 bedrooms and a mudroom. Bob Bailey was our chosen contractor and did an amazing job, start to finish. Quote up front was accurate and detailed. Once he got approvals from the town, everything moved fast and on schedule. His crew was always on time and respectful of our home. Bob always kept us updated and met us at the home to go over anything they ran into. The final product was amazing. You would never know that those rooms used to be the garage. It looks like it was part of the original build and extremely happy with the outcome. In the future, I look to build a new garage and definitely would have Bob Bailey do the work again. Just fantastic work."

Garages questions, answered by experts

Just like any other part of your home, hurricane garage doors need regular maintenance to stay in top shape. This ensures they function optimally during storms and provide the protection you need.

You can do some basic maintenance yourself, like cleaning the tracks and lubricating the moving parts. It's as simple as using a mild detergent and water to clean the tracks and applying a silicone-based lubricant to the hardware. However, for more in-depth maintenance and inspections, it's a good idea to call in the professionals to identify any potential problems and fix them before they become more significant issues.

The style of the garage door that's best for you depends more on your needs. Are you driving in and out of the garage daily, or are you just storing tools and holiday decor there? For regular use, you'll want a door that is easy to operate and durable. If you only wish to use the garage for storage, go for a less expensive style or one that maximizes curb appeal over functionality.

You can use a wide variety of finishes for garage doors, and the choice comes down to personal preference. You can use a semi-gloss, eggshell enamel sheen, matte, or satin enamel. You may even prefer a solid color wood stain. The key is finding an exterior paint that can withstand the elements your garage door is so frequently exposed to.

You have a few options of paint for garage doors. Acrylic paint offers excellent UV- and weatherproof resistance, easily adheres to surfaces, and dries quickly. However, it has limited color options available and requires multiple coats. Oil-based paints last long, are easy to apply, and may only need one coat, but dry slowly and emit more VOCs. Latex offers superior color reflection, available in a wide range of colors, and it’s highly forgiving. However, latex can crack and peel over time and may need a primer for even coverage.

Indoor propane heaters are safe to use in a garage. You may be able to use an outdoor propane heater inside a garage in some instances, as long as the garage door remains open and there’s constant airflow to allow the carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide to escape. Other garage heaters include electric heaters and gas heaters.
