"Plumber was punctual and completed work in professional manner.  In fact, he found a potential plumbing problem with gas dryer connection that could have caused additional problems.  I have used this company before and once again they lived up to their A rating.

Customers say: True professional

"Let's be honest: plumbing isn't cheap. But, you really shouldn't want to cheap out on your plumber, considering how important plumbing is to your convenience and comfort, not to mention your health and well-being. We've used Matt and his crew twice: once to convert a closet into a two-piece powder room and once to fix a kitchen drain that was leaking in the wall and dripping into the basement. It smelled awful. Regardless of the size of the jobs Matt and his crew have tackled for us, they've done the work promptly, correctly, and at a reasonable price. He's a good guy, too -- friendly, courteous, responsive and makes sure his crew members model that same behavior. You can trust Matt to do what he says he'll do."

Small jobs welcome

"Paul was absolutely fantastic. I had a main sewer line clog backing up into my basement. Paul came out, knew exactly where to access the main line, and cleared the blockage quickly with professional equipment. He pulled out a ton of buildup and completely fixed the issue the right way — not just a temporary patch. On top of that, he was honest, explained everything clearly, and saved me over $400 compared to other plumbing companies told me I would’ve had to pay. Super knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. No upselling, no nonsense — just solid work. If you need a plumber who actually gets the job done, Paul is your guy. Highly recommend and will definitely call him again."

"VADIM KOVALENKO BROOKFIELD, CONNECTICUT, 06804 June 13, 2024 To Whom it may Concern, Adrian has worked for me on numerous projects, ranging from simple jobs like kitchen and bathroom sinks, to toilet installations, He's also performed more difficult jobs, such as replacing my water pump filter. No job too big or too small, be it interior or exterior, including my Inlaw basement apartment's serious flood repairs, to my 40,000 gallon swimming pool's concrete deck resurfacing, and rubber paint recoating. I've appreciated his services most when I needed emergency help, such as problems with flooding in my basement apartment, which had caused several months of lost rent due to the faulty workmanship of previous plumbing companies, (call for the names of those contractors) which happened on three occasions with big Plumbing companies, call for details. In one case I had to bring these local companies first to BBB, and then to the Contractors Guild of CT. , and then to civil court for legal suits. I've called Adrian a 'creative plumber, and contractor' because he is great at assessing the root cause of the current problem and then presents different solutions according to my floating budgetary concerns, which generally included a temporary solution, followed by the bigger permanent solution. In one case the previous estimate by his competitor was $2,500, Adrian not only drove to the factory outlet that had the water pump filter, he used his ow credit card to purchase the critical part, he then delivered to part, and repaired it the same day for $1,400 installed. My tenants and I were very appreciative of his excellent work from start to finish, because he also did mold remediation and and removal. In another case he repaired the massive repair of another name companyâ  s faulty workmanship which caused raw sewage in throughout the basement, which was a serious problem as the tenants had suffered for months with constant sewage backing up from the septic tank. Adrian found a unique way to reroute the water from the sewage ejection pump to the septic tank. His thorough knowledge of plumbing not only. Assessed the problem correctly after three other companies confirmed his diagnosis of the problem, he also outpriced them, saving me $1,000's of dollars in one case, which went directly into my child's college fund. Which brings me to another unique aspect of Adrian's company mission, which is putting the customer first. In his own words, his company would not be concerned with his company's profits first, but would be putting the client's needs and satisfaction first. (perhaps this is due to Adrian's personal ethhics as a good Christian. ) Whatever the reasons for his fair practices, I have appreciated them very much, as I'd personally hit hard times after several hospitalizations following a near death car accident and other health conditions, causing me to be legally disabled. I've also referred him to several projects of neighbors in Connecticut, and also In and throughout New York. Feel free to call for his before and after photo work samples. Sincerely, Vadim Kovalenko-Baloup"

"It was after 5pm on a Friday and my kitchen sink was clogged and the pipes underneath were in pieces because the auger I had bought in an effort to DIY had ripped them apart. I was desperate to get this taken care of before the weekend. I was referred by HomeAdvisor to John Mansolf who immediately called me back. He no longer has a roto-rooter but graciously referred me to another plumber, Benny Medina (203)909-1099,who also answered right away. He was on another job but promised to get back to me. At 9pm on a Friday night, he came to my home, unclogged the clog and put my pipes together and charged a very reasonable price. I'm so happy I contacted Home Advisor! I'm just recently moved to CT and so I don't know any contractors."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Locate and test your interior main shutoff valve before any plumbing emergencies occur. During freezing CT winters, open exterior wall cabinets and increase indoor heat to prevent burst pipes. Never use an open flame to thaw frozen lines, as this creates a severe fire hazard. Before spring rains arrive, pour water into your sump pit to verify the pump activates properly and prevents basement flooding.

Helpful?

Homes built between the 1940s and 1970s are prime candidates for plumbing upgrades due to aging cast iron or galvanized pipes. If your local utility flags your property for a lead service line, you require immediate updates. Wallingford properties near rivers without proper sump pumps also need drainage improvements. Finally, homes lacking recent permit histories are overdue for a professional assessment to meet modern codes.

Helpful?

Ignoring hard water buildup by skipping annual water heater flushes damages your plumbing over time. In Wallingford, leaving hose bibs connected or under-sink cabinets closed during freezing winters causes severe pipe damage. Relying on chemical drain cleaners heavily corrodes the older cast iron pipes common in this area. You must also test your sump pump regularly to prevent basement flooding and protect your drain lines.

Helpful?

Improper transitions between older galvanized pipes and new materials cause rapid corrosion in mixed-material plumbing. Incorrect water heater venting poses severe carbon monoxide hazards in older homes. Replacing only part of a lead service line increases dangerous lead leaching into your drinking water. In CT, backflow preventers require precise installation and mandatory annual testing to keep the municipal water supply safe from contamination.

Helpful?

Watch out for quotes that skip securing permits or ignore final inspections, as your city requires these for most plumbing. A professional must hold a valid state license. Another red flag is a vague plan for older homes, which feature outdated pipes. Contractors must also account for local water hardness to ensure your CT home gets the right fixtures and proper care.
