"Inspection of a previously installed sump pump system (primarily the sump pump). Inspection found that it seized up and wouldn't have functioned. Replacement made - and very fortunately - since when the pump is needed, it IS needed. It wouldn't have been good to have a flooded basement or have an upcoming flooded basement."

"I really liked CT Basement systems. The sales rep walked me through the process of the basement SaniDry I had installed. When the installer came it turned out that I didn’t need all of the duct work and I was able to save a few hundred bucks. The installer was very professional, neat and helpful . I definitely will hire this company again. Customer service even followed up with me a few days later and had to remind me to register the system (good thing because I had forgotten)."

The most common cause of a clogged sump pump is natural debris buildup. As water enters the sump pit, it can carry small pieces of debris that build up over time, or the debris can get caught in the filter. The size and use frequency affect how much electricity it uses. Sump pumps average one-third to one horsepower (hp) motors. One hp is equal to 745.7 watts. Watts multiplied by the time your pump is running divided by 1,000 equals your average kWh. Multiply kWh by your average cost of electricity. In areas with high rain or a marsh basin, the average cost can be as high as $15-$25 a month.
