"Mike checked some outlets for me and installed a new attic fan for a reasonable price. He was on time, extremely pleasant and professional. "We have know and trusted SANTOS, and his team, for decades. He is a superb carpenter and knowledgeable in all areas of home building and repair. He comes up with solutions for any job, small or larger, inside or outside the home, that needs repair. He has helped my husband and I install stone columns in front of his place of business. He diligently found the leaking in our home’s roof and walls and expertly rebuilt the entire side of the kitchen and walls. I think I have a photo. There are too many jobs to list. (April 2019) My Mom has now hired SANTOS and his team to repair, sand, prime and paint her entire house and she is so happy I recommended him and now her neighbor has him booked! He’s busy but worth the wait if you can hire him."

"Ken and his helper were amazing. Ken came out to recommend and quote light fixtures in our unfinished basement, connect a couple of Ring floodlights, and replace the doorbell transformer and install a new Ring doorbell at my residence. Ken's work is clean, fast, and reasonably priced! I would absolutely hire him again!"

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

You’ll want to locate all areas in your home that could be a potential entry point for mice, such as doors, windows, vents, baseboards, holes, and cracks in your home’s foundation. Don’t forget to check less-obvious areas like the attic, plumbing and sewers, and even the roof and gutters. If you check these spots and don’t find any signs of mice, consider hiring a pest control pro to dig deeper into potential hiding spots.

How often you need pest control depends on your infestation problem. If you have a one-off issue, such as a wasp nest in a high-traffic area, you shouldn't need regular service. However, if you live in an area prone to ticks, termites, and ants, you'll likely need at least an annual pest control service. If the problem is persistent and significant, you may need quarterly or monthly service.

Cinnamon's warm scent appeals to many people but not to many bugs. The spice contains eugenol, which also happens to be used in insecticides. While the level of eugenol in cinnamon isn't enough to eliminate bugs on its own, the scent can be strong enough to keep them away.

You can try sprinkling cinnamon around areas where you've seen insects, such as ants and mosquitos. Remember that you'll have to reapply frequently, especially after periods of rain.

Earwigs are omnivores, so they have a varied diet. Generally, they feast on decaying organic matter, leaves, flowers, and vegetables. They’ll also eat other insects (dead or alive) like aphids, sowbugs, and mites.

The cockroach most easily confused with water bugs is the Oriental cockroach, for several reasons. Their shape is most similar to a water bug, and they’re notorious for seeking out and living near water. If you capture one of these bugs close to a water supply, you can quickly tell if it’s an Oriental roach or a water bug. These roaches are a darker color, and they cannot fly, while water bugs are a lighter brown and can fly to escape.
