"Williams & Associates replaced an ancient, very large old boiler in my very large house. Bruce calculated the necessary size and found a suitable boiler. He and his crew thoroughly cleared the radiators and lines before removing the old boiler and installing the new one. They checked all the radiators and added new valves as needed during a lengthy checkout. It took several days to do all the work. Throughout, Bruce explained what they were doing and why as well as recommending changes/additions to the original proposal. They were even cheerful about removing the original "Mary Jane" from the basement. I would definitely recommend them to anyone using steam heat. Great job!"

"John was outstanding! He meticulously diagnosed the problem and installed the equipment after tracking it down at 2 local supply houses. He kept us informed every step of the way and worked diligently until the work was completed. This is the second time we've asked Mull Bros. to perform a service at our house. We received excellent service both times. Mull Bros. is a highly professional company that has exceeded our expectations.

"I took off work. The technician arrived said they were not qualified to work on Combi-tankless boilers; though I had explained over the phone when making the appointment; the Combi boiler I had, and the code e352, that I couldn't maintain heat. The boiler shutting down, and I worked nights; so please don't arrive before noon. Upset, I bleed the system myself and refilled going by the Navien manuals I had. The code e352 was gone. The psi was lower, the boiler didn't shut off. But psi was still a little high above 30. Hurley and David could only reschedule for the next day 12Pm to 4PM. Getting up (sleeping in because I work nights) I had 3 phone calls from 9:30am on, Hurley and David saying they were unable to reach me. That additional frustration got ironed out. A technician was sent. His name is Macauley. He immediately knew I needed an expansion tank and replaced same. The price was high, but his professionalism and communication skills made all the difference. And the psi normal"

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

The radiators closest in proximity to the boiler heating system will heat up first. Radiators in rooms farther away from the boiler will take longer to heat up and may be the coolest rooms in the house. The radiator unit itself should heat up evenly; otherwise, there may be trapped air inside it.

Many utility companies and government programs offer rebates or incentives for the installation of high-efficiency propane boilers. These can offset upfront costs and improve your return on investment. Check with your local utility or installer for current offers. Incentives vary by state and provider, so exploring regional programs can help maximize your savings.

Installing a boiler requires training, a specific skill set, and extensive experience. Boiler installation can be extremely dangerous, as it involves working with water lines, gas lines, and electricity. For this reason, it’s strongly recommended that you hire a professional to install your boiler. Some states even consider it illegal to work on a boiler without the proper licensing.

Since your boiler keeps you warm and provides hot water to your home, you’re likely to notice issues with heating in your living space right away. The most obvious sign that your boiler is breaking is not getting any heat or hot water. You might also hear some odd sounds coming from your boiler during operation, the flame in your gas boiler is not blue, the pressure is inconsistent, or your boiler is using more energy than it should. If you notice any of these signs, be sure to call a pro right away.

Yes. Boilers need water to run without overheating, also known as dry firing. If you run it without a sufficient volume of water, either because of a burst pipe or a leak, you run the risk of damaging your machine or jeopardizing the safety of your home as a whole. When in doubt, shut off your boiler and repair any plumbing issues before turning it back on. Alternatively, consider installing a low-water cutoff (LWCO) before any issues arise. This gadget will protect your boiler by monitoring water levels and automatically shutting it off if it gets too low.
