Why introduce another layer of bureaucracy that slows down communication? Have the contractor pull the permit, so that the contractor and the municipality, town or city can communicate directly, and the pulling of the permit is done correctly and legally. How would I know, when the town should be doing an inspection during or while the job is being completed or after the job is completed? "Dreadful experience. We had been customers of Astacio since 2015 when they installed our first tankless boiler which failed completely after 7 years and needed to be replaced in late 2022. ($10,000+) Their second one just stopped working; a dodgy board? The part is under warranty but they want almost $1,000 to replace it in the boiler; probably less than 2 hours work. I thought they used to be a good local business with ties to the community but be careful; their tankless boilers are unreliable and they'll try to rip you off when your heat goes out in the winter. So much for standing by their work. I'll never use them again."
