"The service was great. They were experienced plumbers and knew what they were doing. They replaced 2 water heaters. The cost was reasonable and less than other companies quotes I was given on line and over the phone. They explained what they were doing and did not have any problems with me asking them a lot of questions. I would recommend them and will call them again for any other plumbing problems I may have."

"Ongrade plumbing and excavating was a god send. Unbelievable how clean and professional they were from start to finish on my sewer line replacement. They did their best to protect my grass with plywood and did a very good job cleaning up given the huge pile of dirt! Thier pricing was amazing compared to some of the other estimates I received from other company's. Highly recommend to anyone for any of thier home or business plumbing issues"

The team was professional, detail-oriented, and completed everything on schedule while keeping the workspace clean every day. The new shower, vanity, and flooring look amazing, and the quality of the installation exceeded our expectations. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process, and we?re very happy with the final result. Highly recommend this company for any bathroom remodeling project!"

"My experience was excellent. I had a toilet leaking all over the floor. It was mid afternoon when I went on Angi to find a plumber. Literally within 5 minutes I got a call from Marc with 2nd Gen Plumbing. I explained my issue and he said he'd fix it for me that evening. Marc then very patiently gave me several options. Once I told him what I wanted, he said he'd be here as soon as he was finished with his other commitments. Marc went out of his way to find a toilet in the color I wanted and true to his word he came here later that evening dismantled the old toilet and installed a new one for me. Marc was a pure pleasure to work with. He is honest, reliable and charges a very fair price for his work. I'm extremely grateful to have found him. If you need a plumber I highly recommend Marc. You won't be disappointed."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

An outdoor mixer tap lets you run hot water to an outside kitchen or greenhouse. Mixer taps do this by mixing both hot and cold water together for varying temperatures.

It’s a good time to replace your outdoor faucet at the first sign of a leak that doesn't stop when the knob is turned off. Also, you may want to replace your faucet if there is a great deal of lime build-up, the surface behind the faucet is deteriorating, or the faucet itself is pulling away from the wall. The job doesn’t take more than a few hours and can save you money in the long -run.

Although air in your water lines won’t affect the overall quality of your water, it will lead to problems with your well water system if not addressed. Over time, too much air in your water lines can create blockages in your pipes, cause insufficient water flow to your taps and appliances, loosen pipes, and potentially damage important components of your well including your well pump and pressure tank.

Many parts of your plumbing system can fail, but clogged drains are one of the biggest plumbing problems you’ll likely encounter. From your kitchen sink, bathroom sink, or bathtub, there are plenty of opportunities for gunk, hair, food scraps, and more to get stuck in drains. When this happens, water will slowly drain, leading to standing water, bad odors, drain flies, and other issues.

Many homeowners can handle a minor clog themselves, but if you have a clog in your main line, you’re best off hiring a local plumber to get the drain back to its normal flow rate.

No. You should never directly drain a water softener into a sewer cleanout. This practice is illegal in many areas because it could allow raw sewage to get into your drinking water and make you seriously ill. Many places have codes requiring a specific seal, pipe, and a large air gap between a water softener and a sewage cleanout. Check out Florida's Plumbing Building Code as an example of what these restrictions might look like.
